Don't think so much, it's not a racist's journal. It's just a funny and cute story for me actually.After work damn hard and no break for 3 weeks. I got terrible backache, my scapula and shoulders are damn hurt. So after work today at 8.30 pm. I drove to Lek's spa, my favorite place.

I don't know why I have been there so many times but they still thought that I was Chinese tourist.I talked to them in Thai every time, tonight I told them I need back massage + hot compress. The girl at the reception counter was so surprised that I could speak Thai very well. A massage girl looked at me like I was an alien, I smile at her... she smile back, she shown me the way, she washed my feet... done all things without saying a word, just smile. Then a Chinese tourist tried to take my shoes... I told her "Those shoes are mine" in English... I think that did make sure to my massage girl that I was a foreigner.....The truth was revealed at the bedroom... before I laid down, I told her in Thai that I didn't need hot compress, pls use only Thai balm and oil for my back...She was so surprised, she asked me why I could speak Thai very well. (that was my first time I heard her voice) I told her I was Thai. She just laugh, like she couldn't control... she said "you know what I feel depress and scared... I thought you were foreigner... you really look like them you know.... it made me scared... i didn't know what to say to you, i didn't know how to give you best service... I don't know English, buddha, foreigners make me scared"

lol you want to watch out bechause CiaranM may indeed brandish you a racist and then everyone else will follow suit lol but yes that is a funny story

Great story. Why would it be racist?

The hotel crew that i stayed in Phuket on my holiday last week just spoke to me in thai on last day of my stay. A sales-assistant at CDs shop in Singapore spoke to me Chinese. Chef in hotel at Bali said O-hi-yo-go-sai-mat to me while i looking around choosing the food on breakfast buffe stall. And a guy at customer services desk of Department store in Bali asked me if i could speak Indo as my name is Kusuma and asked if my name only Kusuma or Kusumawati .. etc..

Mai sanook.. :-(
