I dont have a ....... untitled111.jpg  So I am able to come and go when I want. I was out at Wallace's place enjoying a delicious home cooked THAI meal that Poonie provided and thought, "Why not treat Wallace & Poonie to a day trip to the Snow". We arranged it almost too perfectly. We set out early Sunday morning and took the senic trip around the outskirts of Melbourne's north. Coming out at Healsville the off to Marysville, where we turned off and headed up to "Lake Mountain" which is about an hour from Melbourne if you take a more direct route. P8310015.jpg P8310014.jpg P8310017.jpg The last part of the journey was very senic through a native timber forrest and into the National Park where everyone no matter where they are from pay the same Entrance fee (lol)P8310016.jpg Poonie wanted to play on the road but Wallace didnt like that idea so pulled her back. Then it was back into the car as we were almost there. P8310022.jpg P8310023.jpg P8310027.jpg P8310030.jpg Another stop another photo shoot..........P8310028.jpg  And finally we arrived. Lake Mountain is a launching place for cross country skiers and has a pad for first timers to play in the snow and kids to break out the tobogan for a short ride on the side of a hill.  P8310032.jpgPoonie's first expierence of snow...P8310035.jpgPoonie posing (she is getting the hang of it now)P8310034.jpgPoonie training for the "Winter Olympics"P8310037.jpgThen the "Snow fight" started with Poonie throwing the first snowball....

P8310038.jpg ....STRIKE lol After the fight Poonie got down to some very serious Snowman building, until even she was driven indoors as it started sleeting. So it was time to head out of there'We tool a more direct route home stopping in Richmond for another Thai dinner washed down with a few beers. Just another pleasent Sunday

Nice journal, Gav.

@ points though.

Poor Poonie must have been freezing her ti, I mean, she must have been very cold.

On the last photo, you shuld have cleaned your camera lense, cuase there are two specks of dust just where Wallace's eyes should be

Good to see you back mate:)

Hey GAV that is a great journal - Poonie and Wallace look very happy, and it's great to see our friends again - even if only in photos!

Poonie looks very pretty as usual, and Wallace doesn't have any eyes...also as usual...hehe! Where was the self portrait though - GAV in Snowman form?

Can't say I envy you about the snow side of the trip - but each to their own - as long as everyone had a good time - thats all that matters!

Send our best to Poonie and Wallace too - always the best of luck for the future to those two!
