Well, Im down to Phi Phi trip next month and planning to pop in to Koh Lanta for a night or two. Wondering where is the best beach to check out though? and what hotel you stayed in?? I have done some research but still cant make up my mind! so wanna hear what ppl say...

Preferable somewhere quiet, romantic and a worth to see! not neccessarily party place anymore coz i will probably have enough in Phi Phi!!! Thank you alot for any input!

I think the most beautiful beach and location on Ko Lanta is at the far southern end... cant remember the name but its part of the marine national park. There is a 5 star resort/villas there in the middle of the long beach and also a smaller hotel with cabins tucked into the headland (quite cheap).

Layana - Phra Ae Beach

It's a 50 room boutique resort and spa - very nice. I reviewed it for a magazine and featured it in Koh Lantas top 10 hotels. Kinda pricey though.

what peemarc said!! but beware if it's wet very difficult to drive down that end of the island!! some of the roads are still just dirt tracks!!
