Last week, I went with friends to spend Christmas in Annecy, in the French Alps. We stayed at a friends house, that had amazing views across lake Annecy, to the mountains beyond. We ate lots of good food, and drank lots of good wine. We also visited a couple of ski resorts up in the mountains, where the weather was great up above the clouds. I even managed to get a little bit sunburnt. I also had my first ski lesson, but that is a story for another journal. Anyway, here are a few photos from my trip:The old prison, Annecy I took this at midnight on Christmas Eve. the streets were deserted. L1000012.jpg  The Casino, Annecy&nspb; Christmas lights&nspb;Canal, Annecynspb; Swan under bridge&nspb;L1000177.jpg&nspb; L1000180.jpg&nspb;Blue bridge7nspb;L1000183.jpg Below, the view across the lake to the mountains.L1000223.jpg&nspb; And finally, a shot from one of the mountain resorts. I shall post more pics in another journal. L1000245.jpg

Pandorea...Yes. they were taken with my new pocket camera, a Leica D-Lux 4. My Nikon will have to wait as I have just had to pay for my trip to Thailand, and the Pound is very weak at the moment.:-(
