Spike & Subculture in Singapore
As informed in a previous journal by a well respected member of the TF community that i had been invited to the venue Night and Day Bar/Gallery on Selegie Road downtown Singapore. I decided to write this journal report. Everything went super. I was well treated and accomodated. But foremost on my mind was the hopes for a good event. It was Friday the 13th of February but no bad luck this night. In fact the end result was an awesome evening. The party was hosted by SDAM Singapore Dark Alternative Movement. There were 3 local Dj's including Chris Ho who is a radio and club Dj/pop columnist, really great to have his support. When i got to the club i walked up a long stairwell with art graffitied on the wall. The place looked old and cool i liked it instantly. I jumped on the organisers to get a DVD player and they called a friend and he brought his home DVD. We got that running and they had some disco lighting and fog. We got the decks and interface all connected to the boards. The evening was ready to roll.
I was impressed by smooth transitions between our sets and cooperation was stellar. Not to mention much appreciation to Dj Saito for getting the dance floor full before handing it over to me and for briefing me on some dancefloor friendly music genres. Apparently Dj Spike and the SDAM event was slathered on Alternative
Radio Singapore so the turnout was real good.
We had Smoke We had Video all ready to go:)
Lots of Glow Sticks
I did a little networking of my own:)
A little bit of performance was required.
Crowd shuffled in and things got wild
A Local Celebrities were present
and lots of beautifull Singaporeans:)
This Sunday i will be Dj'ing at Club Culture. Any Tf that would like to make a party there on my Sunday contact me and i wil try to make some drink promotions. Any functioning artists or Dj's can contact me aswell.
Cheers TF
