I read Reader's Digest today and found two quotes that actually remind me of my bosses at work.

The best index to a person's character is (a) how he treats people who can't do him any good and ( how he treats people who can't fight back. -- Abigail Van Buren , Dear Abby. I guess it shows enough how I feel towards my superiors. Bad attitude, yet so realistic as well. 

hmm.. when I get a chance I will pick up that issue of readers digest -- sounds like an article worth reading

-- I know it's a just a word but no one is superior over another they are just that -- just a boss or supervisor and that is what I always refer them as. my analogy is this if a maestro directs his or her orchestra and if the orchestra is unhappy then they will play bad music the boss doesn't do the playing he or she just directs. bad unhappy team produces bad quality -- a lotta bosses fail to realize this they don't do the playing they just direct.

Now i'm thinking of my bosses.

i just talked with friend not long ago that, you can choose job that you want to do, company you want to work for but you cant choose boss / colleagues.

I just considered myself 'lucky' at the moment !

Reminds me of a story I heard years ago. All the body parts had a conference to decide who would be boss. The brain said "I should be boss, I direct all the operations". The eyes said "We should be boss, without us you couldn't see where you're going. The stomach said "I should be boss because I provide allthe nourishment". The legs said "We should be boss because we carry the whole body everywhere". Then the a**hole applied for the job and all the other parts fell about laughing. The a**hole got mad and closed up. Inside a couple of days the brain was fuzzy, the eyes were watering, the stomach was aching and the legs were wobbly. So they all relented and gave the a**hole the job.

That all proves you don't have to be a brain to be boss, just an a**hole :-)
