I posted about the Kandalama Hotel in Dambulla in the centre of the cultural triangle in Sri Lanka earlier this week.

The cultural triangle covers the Sacred City of Anuradhapura, the Ancient City of Polonnaruwa, the Ancient City of Sigiriya and the Ancient City of Dambulla.

Sigiriya is an ancient rock fortress, but it's f**king high with dodgy staircase do i didn't climb it !!

Dambulla has fantastic and colourful cave temples, but to preserve them u weren't allowed to photograph them when i visited.

Anuradhapura was one of the ancient capitals of Sri Lanka and has many fantastic old temples and palaces and i do have some pics.

Polonnaruwa became the capital after Anuradhapura and again has many old temples and palaces.

I visited these places several times when living in Sri Lanka and was impressed with the scale and beauty of the old sites.

My snaps were taken on an old point and shoot film camera about 10 years ago so don't really do the place justice. If you get time visit the links posted.

unfortunately it was fully booked ... very popular place by all accounts !!

Why very old pics?,anyway these are beautiful places and have history memory .I like ancient places and stuff,i sales them too so====>Loveeee it.I definitely will visit someday.Thanks for sharing.
