what you do to calm yourself down when you get upset?

if you are in the situation that you cant do or say anything . . as you will become a devil for others.

doing things to change ideas and make thinking about something else (doing sports, watching a movie, listening music, going to temple, seeing friends, going outside...),

thinking positive by saying yourself that there are people who have bigger difficulties than yours

or instead face what annoys in trying to find a solution to the problem...

There is not an only one answer, it has just to choose the most suitable alternative to itself and the annoying situation...

The most important is perhaps not waiting without doing anything....

just a point of view...

my upset usually (I have been told) doesn't carry onto others! hope it does not...

get busy doing something that is intense and will be sucessful...( that sex idea seems good; but a relieable opportunity...??? ...not so much) go hit golf balls!

Have a cigarette (even though I'm still trying to quit. oops!) It calms me down & gives me time to think.

Otherwise....going to the gym...The physical side of it helps to get the aggression out & it also gives you time to think.

ha ha thanks all for the comments :D

@ CiranM: I used to drink beer when I felt upset but as I am not good at drinking any kind of alchohol . . . just only a half glass of beer could give me a big headache . . and same as Jack Daniels :D

@ Japan : go the the gym , do some yard work .... its great idea.

@ whitelotus: crying ... ummm I don't like to cry that long (even when I am alone, I don't really cry much . . except something is too much for me to handle) . . if i have to cry for an hour that mean i must have a big lose :)

@Teila , Sky and Danno : thanks all for the advice. I think the best way for me is going to the gym . :D

But if the problem is sometimes it happens suddenly in front of you and among the people . . how to you hide your anger? How to face it?

holding your temper is a good discipline,

keeping your dignity --- is even better,

And as some one once said--> revenge is best served COLD

Definitely agree.

Don't let the person see that they've upset you. Most of the time they want a reaction from you, cause it makes you look bad.

If you think you're gonna say something you may regret, remove yourself from the situation. If it's at work, go to the toilet for a minute, do your best to calm down, then go back.

If it's with a group of friends at a restaurant or something, the same applies, or instead of the toilet, go outside (& round a corner, where they can't see)
