I swear this is my favourite Thai festival of all times. Too bad it only happens once a year and for 10?days only

Yeah, it seems things are getting more and more expensive in Thailand year by year. And read somewhere before that each year during Kin Jay, the businesses will also purposely mark up the price of vegetarian foodstuff!

I'm in Phuket now and the food here are so cheap! I can get pad-mee for 15 baht, good...cheap...and fill my stomach! But I won't do it for 10 days 'cause I'm not a veggie person! hahaha

I remember my wife observing this festival. For her, it was not expensive as she just went to the market and bought vegetarian food (even cheaper than meat dishes).

Sukhumvit area street food is expensive, and J. food even more expensive, 35 baht ++ a dish, can't fill my stomach.
