Im Thai . I'd like to practice Eng languest Pls Help

I've always been amazed that that people who want to learn the English language have to go through the ordeal of learning the grammar, why the frack is that I wonder :?: I never had to. I've met many non-native speakers of English (a good few in Thailand) & in many cases their conversation skills are poor. Less emphasis on grammar & more on speaking is my prescription.

Write about the following topic: It has been said, “Not every thing that is learned is contained in books.†Compare and contrast knowledge gained from experience with knowledge gained from books. In your opinion, which source is more important? Why? Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience. Write at least 250 words Learning from books is a particular thing that most of people have to do it in school. It is about the knowledge and theories that we have to follow all lesson in the books. For example, we can learn how to speak English from school. We can learn the structure of English sentence from books which is the certain thing and we can not change the structure of it. Learning from our experience is totally different from learning from books. Everybody has to face problems everyday so we can learn from experience which we can not find in any books. Learning from real life is no a certain theory that we have to do same as the theory but we have to find the best way to fix the problem and learn out of it. For example, if you have to study or work in abroad, you can not know what will happen in another country. Culture and people are different from your country. Even though you prepare and read about the another country from a book but once you arrive that country everything can happen to you. You have to in real life in that moment. In my opinion I think learning from experience is more important then learning from books because you must be more careful in real life. The books can teach you many things but not everything. Example, everybody learn about how to have a good personality from a book but in real life not everybody can do it. People need more experience which can build up their good personality at the end. What do you think about my essay? This is my first one. I know it's not good so please advise what should I improve more. Thank you very much.

My friend who is an English teacher came to see me yesterday, she like to do the advert for English program with Wall Street ... for 1 course my company will pay 50% about 16,xxx baht and Staff pay 50% 16,xxx baht. It's 3xxxx / Course, may be. Actually, I'm interested in but on another hand, I never pay that much for English Institue. It's computer base learning I know. I went to Wall Street at Metro Mall and met Khun David.. (big guy) there. He shown me around the institue. and he asked me to try the program. It was cool but I don't know why i like to study with teacher... lol technophobia may be. My friend said it was good, but I feel she didn't improve much. She still doesn't have confidence to speak until now. I attended the "Get Confidence" class once. The teachers are young and handsome... I think it's the way to attract ppl to study with them. Does anyone hear any feed back about this place before I pay big money (for me it is) to them? Thks.

Two of my friends are currently looking for an personal english teacher or school which offers an 1-on-1 teaching. Does someone of you has a recommendation? Actually both already can speak english quite well, although they do not believe it and so do not practice regularly. Therefore the course should include some conversation/practising in listening and speaking. Thanks for you help!

This perplexes me. English is a global standard, so why do so many schools, colleges and unis in Thailand focus on American English? If you are going to learn the language, why not do it properly? No bastardised spelling, no bizarre grammatical constructions and no weird pronunciation! If you are going to sweat over learning this language, you may as well learn the real language.

Me, along with many other TF guys, are English teachers. Every day that we read journal/forum posts we see English mistakes made by non-English speaking members. My question is this: Do you want us (or maybe just me) to correct you? In public and for everyone to see? Can you handle that? If you want private lessons, we are for hire, but if you want free lessons you'll have to do it for all to see and for all to benefit. If you agree, I'll put you on a list of "okay to correct" and will correct you and show it publicly. If you don't agree, I understand, of course! But learning through mistakes is a very effective learning tool! What do you think? P.S. I may be sorry that I offered this! hahahaha
