Looks like Facebook has decided to give users a great set of options when declaring their gender online. Fifty new options to be precise. I had no idea there were 50 possibilities. :-) http://www.advocate.com/politics/transgender/2014/02/13/facebook-announces-expanded-gender-options-transgender-and-gender http://www.fastcompany.com/3026469/fast-feed/facebook-adds-50-new-gender-pronouns-beyond-male-and-female

According to a poll conducted by the Associated Press and CNBC, 46% of respondents think Facebook will fade away as new platforms come along in the future. Read More How long do you give Facebook? LOL Actually, I do think that Facebook will eventually stumble. They remind me a lot of AOL back when AOL was the largest ISP in the world. MySpace died very quickly. They were basically the biggest game in town and all of a sudden Facebook came out of nowhere and now MySpace is a joke. The same could happen to Facebook if some new, fresh service comes along.

COPIED FROM FB OF สิ่งเล็กๆที่เรียกว่ารัก "คำพูด" ทำร้ายเราไม่ได้ , สิ่งที่ทำร้ายเราก็คือ "คนพูด" ต่างหาก...(Quote_Inw) any spoken words can't hurt us , but the one who spoke them บางครั้ง.. ความรัก.. ก็เข้ามาหาเรา เพื่อให้เราเรียนรู้.. มิใช่ให้เราครอบครอง ไม่ผิดหากจะรัก..คนมีเจ้าของ แต่จะผิดหากเข้าไปทำหน้าที่ซ้ำซ้อนคนอีกคน..(atcloud) Sometime love comes to us to teach us to learn how to love not how to seize. It's not wrong if u love someone who is taken but it may be wrong if u wanna do his gal duties

In my opinion and observation, when guy and gal being in relationship, 99% of gals always show picture of them as a couple with sweet explainations and show her status in FB as "in relationship", while most of the guys hesitate to do those things. However, recently, i found the different that instead of the gal, a guy does those things in his FB, while his gal FB show nothing about them. That's make me doubt why???????????? the gal is too to shy to present or she is not sure about their relationship or she is now looking for some better guy???????????????? any ideas? plz share

An elderly man has become the subject of wide criticism overnight after a young woman posted his offer to look after her "financially†on several social media pages - but the student has also been criticised. The phrase “Elder Generous, BKK†is being talked about and shared on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. The poster is a 22-year-old university student working part time as a product presenter. In her Facebook page “Manta Thamonmanta Suksawas (PinkZie)â€, the student posted a snapshot of the conversation between her and a man whose Facebook name was “Suvit Chaiâ€. A snap shot of the conversation between Manta Thamonmanta Suksawas (PinkZie) and Suvit Chai (From Facebook) Man: Elder Generous, BKK Woman: So? Man: Tell me what you want and I can help you Man: Rent payment or car installment Man: Quiet…. Hmm maybe you aren’t short (on money) However, netizens also criticised the woman for slandering the man publicly. Therefore, she posted her side of the story on her Facebook a few days after the first post in response to the disapproving comments against her. Her posts said: “Someone told me he will sue me for slandering his name. Many people have been arrested because of this … is it true? Can anybody tell me? “There are two sides of the coin. Some people applaud me for telling the truth while many have also said bad things to me for what I have done. “Some also question me, like … Why have you captured your own picture? Finding a quick way to be famous?†The product presenter said she did not want to be famous but wanted to expose the man to teach him a lesson for being impolite and disrespectful to women. She admitted to doing the same to many other men who had approached her in similar way. “Check my Facebook, you can find many more of them there. I did it because no one else dares to do it. And it’s the only way to stop them from harassing me as well as other women,†she added. Facebook photos of Suvit Chai (left) and Manta Thamonmanta Suksawas (PinkZie) Many netizens said she was too harsh on the man, saying that her post could destroy a family. Ms Manta said, “What about me? His post is an insult to me and my profession. These men think we product presenters will do anything for money. He has no respect for women. If I was your friend or your family, would you allow someone to insult me like that.†Meanwhile, the Facebook “Suvit Chai†page has been closed down. Many gossip reporters and columnists who visited his page said his friend list contained only girls and product presenters. Nevertheless, a page called “Kae Jaidee sport Kor Tor Mor†or “Elder Generous, BKK†has been set up and has been visited by many online goers. The page contains the man’s pictures and his famous “quotes†have gone viral among young posters. One netizen said, “The page should serve as a lesson to all the horny men to think twice before trying to offer money to young women for sex.†Many agreed. http://www.bangkokpost.com/news/local/319093/a-lesson-for-horny-men

Was just looking at the "most popular forum members" on the "Homepage". I can only think of one that is on here regularly. Same with the most popular bloggers / posters. Never see half of them anymore. Is everyone now on that "Facebook" thingy? :-)

This could be "Quitting Facebook," or just "Taking a Break From Facebook." Regardless, here is my pathetic story. I knew this before, but recently it really hit me. I'm addicted to Facebook. I probably check it at least 30 times a day. A lot of it is spent checking up on the statuses of those I couldn't give two shits about to see if things changed enough for me to give one or maybe even three shits about them. Every time I'm disappointed. Still, I check everyday. Occasionally I get a good laugh from a video, or a smile from a heartwarming Facebook announcement about a doomed relationship finally ending. Other than that, it's all about me keeping a record of my life and making connections. Timeline makes a good attempt at reviewing points in your life, but it falls short. My blog here is really the only thing that takes me down memory lane. Anyway, I decided a few days ago that I needed to take a break from Facebook and made good on my promise. I deleted it from my bookmarks and deleted the app from my phone. I can't explain how free I feel (pretty pathetic, huh?). It's literally like the feeling I got a couple of weeks after I quit smoking, but this time it was instant. A lot of this decision stems from my (growing) family and my work. A lot also has to do with me cutting some of my thais to Tieland. Thailand has that "me me me" mentality that you have to let into yourself even if you despise it. I certainly got sucked in, and I think it's necessary to do to keep your head above water (pun intended). I've a lot more to say on the subject, but I'll let it all simmer for now. I know I'll never be able to truly quit Facebook for the time being, but I'm hoping that this break will help me to at least cut down my Facebook use to a reasonable level. Have you ever considered quitting or taking a break from Facebook? If not, why not? If so, what's stopping you?
