Hello, I know there are new gym/fitness places in BKK. I will be in Thailand for 3 weeks, so I am looking for somewhere that has good gym/fitness during my stay there. The cost should not be over B2000 a month (if monthly subscription). I am not sure if True Fitness or Fitness First is good option. Any ideas close to BTS would be great. Thanks for your advice.

Hi guys, I haven't used the forum for a while, so I hope you don't mind me using this as a platform to mention my new Bangkok fitness blog: URL DELETED. NO COMMERCIAL POSTINGS WITHOUT PRIOR APPROVAL It's very much a work in progress but I'm hoping to make it a solid and useful resource for health, sport and fitness related activities in the city. Please feel free to comment. Cheers Jack T

I was looking at their webpage, but not a word about how much they charge for a months/year membership. Anybody working out at True Fitness in Asoke? How much you pay? My new home is near it, so it seems I have to go there to workout in the future... Thanks

I love lifting weights. I've worked in a few different gyms. The gym I work in just now are starting a '100 kg club'. (It's not a hardcore gym. More a 'health club'.) If you can bench press 100 kg you can put your name on a notice board with how many reps you've done. If you can do more than this weight you write it down with how many reps you managed. At another gym I used to work in, in Glasgow. we used to say if you can rep 100kg for 5 reps - you are a bodybuilder. Which I thought was quite a good benchmark. Although you could probably argue that deadlifts are a more realistic indication of overall strength. Anyway, I'm wondering who on TF can benchpress 100kg or more ? If you can - then add your name here ! Who is in the TF 100kg club ??

About every 2 years I get interested in yoga classes. For a number of reasons I always fail to stick with them for long. For a start there are not that many yoga classes in Bangkok and many of them are at anti-social times (say 8 or 9pm) located in anti-social places like Ekamai. So I am interested in a private yoga teacher or a small yoga class located near my house (suk 24). Ideal time about 10.00am. Anyone with any good ideas? Basically a beginner. Feel free to PM me if you dont want to post. (Male or female - Thai or Farang).
