koolbreez Posted December 25, 2010 Report Share Posted December 25, 2010 You will need a mold made first for the injection molding to be done. Most companies require you to already have the mold. It is the patentable element in the whole process. It is expensive to have made, but you can not proceed without it. You will need to find a machinist that specializes in plastic injection molds. After that it is just a matter of who gives you the best bid. Your price breaks are usually in 10k increments, with the big break at 100k pieces. After you get your mold, Alibaba is a good place to put up an ad requesting bidders. We found the best quality control coming out of South Korea for the logoed ski boot totes we had made. They were a 2 piece item that were done in one mold. My partner was in that business for 17 years, until he sold out to his only employee. I did most of the marketing.
