Miyavi
aww CATS! LOVE CATS! i have to 6 month old kitten and will get a 9 week old bengal next month. don't have a pic handy... thare is a huge community for pet owner in bkk, they even do cat meetings in some restaurant. this is a bengal in case someone never have seen one: (there are many differences in colour, some are spotted, some have marbles too) Savanah breed is nice too but my fav cat breed is Safari cat. Those beautiful hybrids can become up to 30 lbs... they sell for 6-8k usd... they look a bit wild but are not much different to a domestic house cats character wise. Miyavi
well i am 29. and the others are all 20 and something, so whats the deal bigger cats are not much more trouble that the small one, its a matter of how u raise them. giving them enough attention. oh well, they eat a bit more... Some of the F1-3 hybrids can get a bit rough, true that... but u don't keep them in a small condo, they need space and lots of love.
zeusbheld
why "my cat" topic is on "20 somethings"?? I wasn't a cat person untill I got my Sasha-the-cat. She is so easy if compair with my 3 dogs. No cat walking!! my life is lots easier. coz cats don't tend to live too far past 20 and rarely make it to 30? Miyavi
eating a bit more = shitting a bit more; shitting a bit more = litter box from hell well that is a little downside...however having a full grown F2 safari stud u have ca cat that would own any other cat, catch birds in public, scare people who mistake it for a wild cat and it will not run from all dogs... they tend to learn better than normal cats, u can teach them loads of dog tricks for example. They are really beautiful, the photos do them no justice... they miao less than other cats, they can do other sounds... they are healthier, as that was the original goal of hybrids. Wild cats are more resistant to leukaemia and other cancer related viruses. they usually also like to play with water
Mazzy
Meet May First time I get a siamese. I heard so much bad things about them. But so far she's ok. Not particularly smart though . My other cat June being a bit camera shy wasn't available for the picture. Besides, June and May cannot stand less than one meter from each other, otherwise they attempt to beat the crap out of each other  ... zeusbheld
NOT A FORUM POST!! :x get over it. you've seen the alternatives. in other words: unless you're a molestator and can actually *do* something about enforcing your preferences, have a tissue, press your skirt and have a good cry. Miyavi
silence is a big up. how do these big beasts get along with other (smaller) cats? are they popular enough to make it worth breeding them? can they be indoors-only cats or does something that big need to get outdoors (and kill neighbors' dogs, etc). smaller or younger cats? When u get a kitten, they will get along with every other animal in your household... except geckos (they play with them till they play no more) if you have a grown male cat and you get another male cat they may need some time to adjust and et used to each other. There are not many safari cat breeder worldwide, so u can always sell the kittens, it depends more on your business skill than the cats actually. However i am not so sure if you could sell them well here as the market price is 6-8k USD per kitten. they can pure indoor house cats, but they need attention and love, having another cat as a companion is a good idea. i would NOT let them out here, it will get stolen. however you can take them for a walk in a park on a line, they like that. They are not aggressive or anything, they do not attack other animals more than a normal house cat would do. However due to their size other cats submit to them right away. really a huge difference in size you can mostly see in the F1-F3 cats, those are hybrids. For example a F1 Bengal is about 50% wild as he is a mix of a small asian leopard and some american short hair or other spotted cat. F2 would be be less wild and so on... usually the F males hardly can reproduce so u need a female for breeding if you want the huge cats. you can check out some races such as Bengal, Safari cat, Hibari, Savannah cat, Pixy bob, jungle bob. There are some breeders in Thailand who sell bengals (30-45 k THB), the others you would have to import. If you happen to find a local breeder who sell hibari or savannah, let me know it. investing money in a cat is never a crazy thing, a house cat can live 17 -20+ years, is not a toy for a weekend and having a healthy, strong and beautiful cat is a good thing. there are pet conventions in BKK sometimes, you might simply ask your GF to get some info on pantip as there is a huge pet community. You can find breeder on this conventions who exhibit the bengals, they are impressive. i will one day import a safari, really love them.... and take care of those who sell §bengals§ on jj for 2-3k... those are simple street cats with muddy spots, they are nothing alike a bengal. Miyavi
today i got my new kitty (boy). Say hi to Maya. He is 9 weeks old american Bengal. His mama and papa were beautiful spotted bengals and his mama was a marble bengal, that is why his spots are so large. He nos till is in the fussy state, later the colors and spots will have a clear definition. i sooo love him. and here are my 2 other cats. (both 6 month) They are not a bengal, we are not sure what they are but Ocicat has the closest look. thats when they were 6 weeks old.

bigKus
i used to have a cat named "Som Lon" ( windfalls) I helped her from 4 - 5 dogs beating while tyring to find something to eat at the junk mountain behind my university. She was freaked out , scared, dangerous, ready to fight and trust NOONE ! But i and a friend tried to catch her, we fought a bit before caught her and put in a friend?s school lucksag, took a bus heading to my house. Som lon, poor cat, hungry , skinny, and poo all the time.. we had to remove carpet at living room because she couldnt control it. We brought her to vet a day after, washed, feed foods and medicine, she was a tri-colors Siamese cat became a very gorgeous cat just in few weeks after.. we were very proud of her. We have been once away for holiday out from Bangkok .. left her with neighbor and canned food, when we got back saw some feathers of birds in front the house.. we realized that she might not liked canned food much .. Too sad we never took picture of her..
