Here is my response.

i have been a member on here quite a long time and quite active. i don't think that this is a good place to meet a gig (secret friend) at all. if you meet here then it is a very big chance someone is not going to be happy about how things turn out and will post or send messages to say something bad about you. then that game can be difficult on here. much better to meet in a pub where people you know don't go. it can also be slow to get to know people on here, much slower than out in some night spot. but if your looking for someone good then better to meet here and get to know over time along with other friends here.

i didn't meet my girl on here, though.. hmmm maybe the selection process works better in person.. ;-) or just chance..

also i notice that many people come here looking to play, but most of those who stay here for a while end up being serious with someone. most of the ones who only want to play quit coming back here after a while. just my opinion.

would like to hear others opinions.

well possibly, but that isn't important. it does seem to be a commonly held opinion by people who are not inclined or have never really tried to meet friends online. they look at anyone who is interested in meeting friends online as suspect. when it is hardly justified.

Sorry Cherry but I start to be a bit irritated by the fact you use Thai language a lot while you speak very good English... I have no problem with people speaking Thai here on TF if they want to say something which they cannot explain good enough in English. I also have no problem with some journals which contain forwarded jokes or texts in Thai. But I do have a problem with the fact that people (not only you) write in Thai only to hide the meaning of what they write to non Thai speakers... That smells a bit like elitarism to me...

Oh yes, before you answer that I should learn Thai, I'm doing that already, but not far enough yet to understand too much of what people write...
