A good job is what I do, personal banker to private banking clients such as Johnny Depp, Harrison Ford etc.

Sigh... Where are those yellow cards when we really need them?

well, we dont give yellowcards for a showoff or of such...or else everyone here in the forum would have scored one or two already...including the admin....err

Jlane

do you go home smiling and are you happy to go to your work most days.

if the answer to both of these is yes in my opinion that would mean you have a good job

I go home like a dead horse

Most of the time I stay late in the office just to make sure that I reduce my unread emails and pile of documents on my table. Many times I don't want to go home and want to work work work. Now I am workaholic!!!

I had never wanted to move away from my current apartment, now I want to move closer to my hotel so I spend less on travelling and spend more in the office.

Congratulations, my boss is on business trip again, that means all her emails (over 100 emails per day) will be directed to me

A good job is one that you're happy to do as others have said. I don't think it's possible to be anything else?

But, what brings us happiness in a job? It may be slightly different for some of us (we consider certain things to be more/less important), but I'm sure we'd all agree on some attributes.

Personally:

- one that means I have to use my brain (preferably some form of dynamic development)

- nice environment (the people, and the physical conditions)

- one where you're thanked for hard work (not all tasks are intrinsically rewarding)

- a humane (human :P), understanding boss. Empathy is a must. I hate stressed bosses with low E.Q. and understanding of people. Something is wrong with their priorities (or brain lol).

- enough money to buy a few things i "don't really need" every so often... a holiday, books, clothes, whatever. Maybe enough to save a little bit too. Having to save for things you don't really need, is a good thing I think.

So let me get this straight, the guy who wants to open an Irish Pub on the sukhumvit road possibly next door to but definitely in competition with the Dubliner, is employed to give advice in money matters to the likes of Pirates of the Caribbean star Johnny Depp?

Thought so.

Sad thing is the post is gonna get him dates, I gotta to take some more prozac, two posts back and I got cynical again.

NURSE!!!!

I am happy being a male stripper. The money is tax free and I earn @ $3,000.00 for four hours work! :P

Again one of your fantasy job... Keep dreaming!

"Lawyer, researcher, university lecturer, etc... = workoolic me" I think you need to keep dreaming too! ha ha! Nice try Q- ball!

Jealous? My profile is available for you to look at on the website of two major universities. I will gladly PM you the links if you want. However, unlike you I don't get on the forums to bore people with details of my personal life (especially when, in your case, they're obviously fake).

So if you want to discuss about my work, PM me and I will gladly give you all of the details or better take a look at my journal, you might actually learn something...

LOL! Jealous of a blowhard like you! Not likely! For a self-proclaimed "workoolic" you sure have a lot of time to write posts on TF friends! PM you to discuss your work, talk about boring me with your personal details...no thanks! The only thing I could learn from you is how to toot my own horn and pat myself on the back, traits you have obviously mastered!

Wow... and I had managed to avoid picking up fights on TF forums yet. This is going to be fun...

Listen you moron. Reputation is everything on a web community. TFers know me, I have nothing more to prove here. You, on the other hand, have in a short period of time managed to demonstrate :

1) that you are a fake

2) that you are a racist

3) that you sorely lack both intelligence and subtility

Consequently, I suggest that you quickly take what little is left of your meager reputation and that you quickly head out of the forum section not to return...looser!

hey lay off irishcreame....

not only is he banker to the starsTM(reality TV program pending, no doubt) but a made man in the irish mob, and yet as a film producer still not too proud to attend to little matters usually left to the AD, like herding extras... a real polymath, this one, and certainly worthy of any humility prizes on offer....

in fact let me nominate him for one right now

Can we hold the awards at the extremely original nonIrirsh Irish bar he intends to open.

I wonder did he get the money to buy the bar he was boasting of by laundering Irish mob money through Johnny Depp's private banking account. lol

I would think a "good job" means that you are happy

working for the amount of money you are being paid .

So I guess a job that pays you more than you think you

are worth is definetely a "good job"

Additionally, the workplace has to be close to the one you love, so you can be with her/him every day. This is the only point that I missed throughout the last two years! For the rest - a perfect definition! Thx a lot!
