Over Bangkok it's a pale brown colour most of the time rather than blue

Most of the time in Bkk I don't think I can see far enough to see what can be technically described as sky. :P

Most of the time in Bkk, all I see is the ceiling of the room. ;) No blue sky. So the question is pretty pointless. :lol:

"The sky is blue"?

What planet is that man on?

Take him out and shoot him.

Heretic.

He's currently residing on the planet Nottingham mate.

Lost cause then. Oh well, there's always Thailand....

seems you are not very often here. Compared to most other big cities the sky is pretty clear and if not in a rainy season you most of the time wish it would be less blue.

and back to the question why the sky is blue i think that we all learned the reason back in the elementary school.

The reflection of the sun on the earths water gives the sky its blue color. Remember 2/3 of the earth is water and 1/3 is dry land. Yes outer space is actually black in color. :D

well...first of all, black isn't actually a colour... and space is void of colour all together, just because it's dark out there, doesn't mean it's black....not that I've anything against the colour black....one of my friends is black, well...really ...he's kinda dark mocha colour, but people think he's black. ....anyway....

The day time sky is blue because molecules in the air (not dust or water vapor)scatter blue light from the sun more than they scatter red light (different wavelength of light). When you look in the direction of the sun at sunset, you see will red and orange colors because the blue light has been scattered away from the line of sight.

Simple.........

not really ! :P
