The Punisher
Over Bangkok it's a pale brown colour most of the time rather than blue Most of the time in Bkk I don't think I can see far enough to see what can be technically described as sky. Most of the time in Bkk, all I see is the ceiling of the room. No blue sky. So the question is pretty pointless.

Happyone
The reflection of the sun on the earths water gives the sky its blue color. Remember 2/3 of the earth is water and 1/3 is dry land. Yes outer space is actually black in color.

Compared to most other big cities the sky is pretty clear and if not in a rainy season you most of the time wish it would be less blue. and back to the question why the sky is blue i think that we all learned the reason back in the elementary school. Dr_Sassy
The day time sky is blue because molecules in the air (not dust or water vapor)scatter blue light from the sun more than they scatter red light (different wavelength of light). When you look in the direction of the sun at sunset, you see will red and orange colors because the blue light has been scattered away from the line of sight.Simple......... not really ! Tygr
Dudes, it's blue. End of argument. Particles in Earth's upper atmosphere act as resonators that scatter blue light. Simple as that. QED. :!:
