DJ_Benz
Does anyone know what the video format is in Thailand? Is it PAL or NTIC? I want to bring my XBOX here from the states and need to make sure it's compatible, because I don't think it is in Europe.

Kitschiguy
It's PAL so you'll need a converter.
MisterMatlock
Your Xbox will be NTSC. The format here in Asia is PAL. Many of the TVs here play both NTSC AND PAL. If the tv you get doesn't play both, I'm sure it would be easy enough to buy a converter.
Miyavi
I dont think you will have any problems with that. Most TV play pal/NTSC and most consoles have a PAL/NTSC softswitch in their bios and most games even ask you if your TV can play 40 or 60 hz. not sure what cable u have, scart, rgb, s video for your xbox... u can buy cables cheap at MBK. they sell xbox 360 but if you have the old xbox one make sure to bring all your pads and mem cards as they hardly sell the hardware here any longer... zeusbheld
thailand is PAL but just buy a cheap sony here; most TVs made here can switch from PAL to NTSC seamlessly. i can't even tell the difference when i play an NTSC dvd. your xbox may NOT have a PAL switch (most products distributed in north america don't) and you'll need to check to make sure it can handle 220v (it will be written on the gadget where the power cord goes in, same as for all yoru phone chargers etc) otherwise you'll need a voltage converter (if i recall they're about 3,000 baht at powerbuy). you may want to take to pantip and have them 'chip' it if you plan to buy and play the bootleg games that are widely available here, but of course you won't do that as while it's widespread in thailand it's not entirely legal.
