I went to central yesterday and had a chance to see BOXING, olympic, Thai and Mongolian. My supervisor asked me... "Does it has sensor on their T-Shirt?" if not how to know if they got score or not?"

hmmm from what I know I think they have judges... I don't know how many 3 or 4? and they have to press some buttons if they see fists hit some spots.

Actually, I don't know... lol.

Anyway, I was so upset when I saw that match... I heard Thai team has some problem with the judge from France... true?

3 human judges and i think it works that they have a button for each boxer but it only works if all 3 press at same time or something like that. Thats why as a tv spectator we often see things that judges don't.

The trouble is from a diffrent angle a shot can give very diffrent stories even things like crowd cheering will have an effect on a judges call. And also how the boxer carries themselves. Its an imperfect system and is the reason why the pro's are so popular... as only a german judge could despute a k.o.

Having human judges could and does lead to a bias.

Thks kha Eddie. So that's mean no sensor on the t-shirts right? haha...

About the match lastnight I think I have seen Amnaj (Thai) really hit the spot but he got no point, but at round 4 at 1.20 min Mongolia got score... I think I watched from the huge screen I have seen them just looked at each others about 3-4 sec. at that time Mongolia got score... I was so surprise and confuse...

yeah like I sau its not perfect as they have to be at the same time if you have ever had a few ring fights you will know what its like.

Sometimes you wonder what fight the guy calling the fight is actually watching.

but then I watched a fight of mine from 2 diffrent cameras that were taken that day mine and my friends. and my friends seemed like i won more clearer even though it was the same fight.

It can be really frustrating for the fans watching I seen some really bad verdicts in my time., shocking is not the word!!

amatuers is not so bad but if you have an old guy with his finger on the button your asking for trouble lol

Funny, I read about this today...

All the judges have two buttons - one blue and one red. Whenever they see a punch land, they must push the button for the guy in that colour.

If all the judges push within one second of each other, a point is scored.

It's very open to unfair bias.

I think the only way to ensure a fair win is for each match to be a fight to the death. Then there can be no argument from the loser.

(if there are problems with the loser's team complaining, we could throw them to the lions)

i like this idea, but if they both die at approximately the same time, we need thousandths-of-a-second video replay, like they did with michael phelps' seventh gold.

Mmmm you're right... maybe we should put some weapons in the ring too.

.... and surround the ring with a moat full of sharks with frickin' lasers on their heads! Mmmwuahahaha Mmmwuahaha etc etc

boxing sucks, its only one form of fighting.... its like saying "lets fight, but only use are hands"

MMA is the real fighting sport, because in a real fight you will get choked out! and its every form of fighting.

so yeah, lets fight... but only use our hands

boxing is more sport than fighting. which was always the intent.

MMA matches can be quite interesting and entertaining, partly because they just about ARE real fights, but they can be boring when to guys fall to the ground and grapple until one of them manages to squeeze the lungs out of the other.

raise my hand.... What does MMA stand for?

Mixed Martial Arts

You have probably seen UFC? Ultimate Fighting Championship? Those crazy guys fighting in a metal cage...

Yeah I have seen UFC in super markets... Canned Fruits :P

Ok just kidding. Yeah I have seen it... So crazy!!!

When I was young I like WWE, is it call that? but now I can't stand to see it. Think it FAKE one. hrrrrrrrrrrr....

MMA= Mixed Martial Arts. It allows the use of all forms of martial arts.

It is extremely popular right now. I personally don't like it, as I think it is a gladiator sport.

I see your question has already been answered. :-)

No, it's not like WWE at all. WWE had a lot of fake action in it.

petey you love muay thai but think that mma is about brutaloty onlu? hahaa good one.

the west is not so keen on thaiboxing because of the use of elbows and the lack of padding to shin areas.

also the age at which boys start doing it. I think you just have a bias towards muay thai. Ohh and it is my fav of stand up sports but i look with open eyes

Mma has a bad rep its just peoples lack of understanding the injuries are superficial only and is safer then pro boxing as its not all about head hunting and ko's

have to agree; you rarely see a boxer tap out (or throw in the towel, as is customary in that sport) but guys tap out of MMA bouts all the time when they're at an insurmountable disadvantage, rather than risk serious injury.

boxing ain't all that safe... think about it, head shots are legal, giving the other guy a charley horse ain't.

also, as martial arts go, boxing is fairly effective. boxing ain't ice dancing it's a very violent sport.
