I have said that in order to compete with the best teams in the Premier League we have to be in the market for players of this calibre, and Robinho is undoubtedly one of the best players in the world."Man City manager Mark Hughes Did Robinho say the same thing about Mark Hughes? No, his first quote was; "ah senor hughes. I no know who he is but I want to make love to his sister"

Stramash
Dear Arsenal Board, as a supporter of now some 35 years standing, and one who has followed through the lean times as well as the days of sunshine, can I please express my displeasure at our lack of activity in the transfer market. While Arsene's arrival breathed new air into our club at the end of the 90's, that air has now become rather stale and musty. We have watched as lesser clubs build depth into their squads that will se us lose points when the inevitable mid season Arsenal injury crisis hits. While we have in the past applauded your efforts to keep the club in British hands, we feel now is the time to follow the likes of Chelsea, Man Utd and others by putting on our lippy, our silkiest lingerie and most revealing clothes and shamelessly whoring ourselves out to extremely rich Arabs, Russians or whoever comes along. Yours in hope Iain_D

English_Bob
While we have in the past applauded your efforts to keep the club in British hands, Wasn't Wenger the first manager to put out an entire team of foreigners? I know, I know you mean owners... but that was a BIG step backwards. By the way, I just read Fever Pitch and enjoyed it very much... you guys have really been through the lean times in the past, huh? I can understand that, but if you live in England when a World Cup or European Cup is on (when we are competing) and it doesnt get your pulse moving then there is definitely something not right. Just seen youre an Aussie, the last World Cup was thoroughly entertaining for your country.

menospeakthai
when it comes to the world of sport im an AFL and cricket fan. AFL is too brutal even though its calmed down in recent years, IMO a sport shouldnt involve trying to severely injure someone when they arent in a position to defend themself, as people have to make money when they arent playing the sport. (boxers are in a position to defend themselves as it my favourite sport i have to defend it) I can undertand going to watch a game of cricket at the stadium so you can get drunk with your mates, but as a spectacle its a non event. zeusbheld
A cynic might think chinawat dumped city as quick as he could and is now engaged in secreting his stolen millions in foreign bank accounts in preparation for skipping abroad escaping extradition to Thailand.I, on the other hand, just think that he's a dickhead. This story could run longer than the one about that Glitter feller. a cynic might think the toxic avenger only bought city with hopes of making a profit, since he paid 80 mil for it and sold it for about 150 mil. but that same cynic would agree with your cynic that he's having second thoughts about committing to a country like engerland that supports extradition... menospeakthai
as an american and a soccer football fan, i have to say your 'insight' isn't new, clever or interesting. See some of you Americans do have taste. Ive met quite a Shermans in London that come to England and must go to a football match as part of their holiday, they all seem pretty knowledgeable about the Premier League, though theyre all thoroughly petrified of the elusive football hooligan that no longer exist and was exaggerated even at the peak of violence.
