interesting choice
i made a comment in Rob's journal. he found it offensive, deleted it, and posted this reply:"Sorry, Snipert. That last one was a little too personal. It's my journal, so I'll have the last word--unless you wanna turn loose one of those portal pitbulls you have in your pocket."fine. fair enough. wasn't my intention to be a little too personal. My comment was based on things Rob had said in forums, not on any knowledge of his personal life, appearance, etc. so it didnt occur to me it was out of bounds. I can see where it would be annoying so i posted "apologies, my bad." at first he let that through, but then deleted it and blocked me. blocking me is fair enough, but why delete the apology? it's not something that happens by accident, unless there are intricacies of the TF software i'm unaware of. of course, he didnt delete his "sorry snipert" comment above. tha, to me, seems more than a little deliberately misleading.i'm not going to repeat my original comments that provoked this reaction since obviously they were found offensive and as he says, its' his journal. but... apologizing is offensive, apparently? that needed to be deleted exactly why? was Rob afraid his admiring minions might not 'get that he was the 'good guy' in that exchange if a little contrition were allowed on the part of the villian? maybe i'm missing something, but it seems to me, deleting the apology is not just petty and pissy, but dishonest. so hey if that's how you roll then indeed, meet my dog. not being one of the white knights tilting at windmills--indeed--not even being one of the 'good guys'--i'll allow myself the luxury of this whiny, pissy journal. leaves me wondering about one thing. i'm curious whether Rob includes himself in the "several people" as per his definition, or if h'es grandfathered out under the White Knight clause, considering he's one of the good guys and, of course, striking a blow for justice. it's his journal, true. and this is mine.
