Dave40, I am bracing for the storm......should have been shorting my position ( would have been able to retire if I did).....now, I will just have to make up for what I lost......crying, crying.....oh I need a holiday!!!!

I have the attitude that if I can lose it, then I can make it again......hopefully!!!!!!!!!!!!!....haha

BTW, when are you off to Phuket....I think Phil is heading off about the same time....

I am thinking of heading off for a break in the next three weeks.

Afook: I went to a travel fair here in Bkk. I got return tickets to Krabi incl taxes, 2 nights accomodation in a 3 star hotel (with pool), 1 lunch and 1 dinner, airport transfers, 1 kayaking day trip, and a trip to the famous talay, all for 4,800 Baht :-D

when I went there, it cost me 600 to AO Nang.... there is a counter that u have to go to pay, not that negotiate w/ driver yourself and there is a fixed rate.

i went there about 3 months before the tsunami hit. i don't recall paying that much for a taxi. its not that far from the town. maybe 20 minutes.

isn't airport tax part of the airfare these days? i know you don't have to pay airport tax at bangkok anymore.

dave, the stockmarket will bounce back. be patient :)
