is ignorant wrong and a bit silly. gee, beej, if all the countries that play baseball, cuba, dominican republic, japan, etc... send ALL their best players to major league baseball.... and they DO....

do you think that cuba's best or japan's best would have as much chance of beating the crappiest team in the playoffs as Witton Albion has of beating Chelsea at stamford bridge?

i'd rate it a lot less....

The world Series is played in Americans against American teams

sure they have Alians in their teams, but not many I would guess

I dont remember a Cuban or Jap team in the World series

Now the World Cup of Cricket is played around the World (well cricket world anyway)

It is an International compertition where different countries team take part

It is a competition between countries not teams

The same goes for the Rugby Union world Cup and the Rugby League World Cup

and then we hit the BIG TIME with the Soccor World Cup

The so called world series does not hold a candle to these

Unless you are American and then its different

As the the world starts and stops at Americas international boarders lol

actually beej, there is a canadian ball team that is involved in major league baseball.... toronto blue jays. the last i checked, years ago in my geography course, canada was a different country.

I'm getting pretty tired of that line, "Can't be the 'world series', the whole world doesn't play" too... There are LOADS of international players, so just turn on the "footie" and fall asleep if you don't want to watch a "non-international sport" no matter HOW boring it is...

Football is the greatest sport in the world. I don't like Baseball, basketball or American football but there's no point in going on about it, i'll just let them sports speak for themselves. The reason that most Americans complain about the 'English Premier League' is because they're jealous they can't claim it as theirs.

Most Thai people i know love football, and love the English league. Seeing we're in Thailand and it's always on TV i guess you'll just have to get used to it. As many people say when i complain about something in Thailand, 'if you don't like it, leave!' Go to America and i doubt you'll ever walk into a pub and see a premier league game again.

Rememeber, 'farangs' have no right to complain here. Forget about your god given human rights here!
