Last Sunday, there has a colleague girl's wedding party at Le Concord Hotel, she married a Farang. The groom is an engineer from Petronas Exploration Off-shore, Mianmar, the company's customer. He fell in love to her almost immedietly when they had meeting at his Bangkok office in year 2004. I didnt attend to their wedding, eventhough my boss and most of company managers did. Why ? I envy her, probably...lolz..

Actually, I even could say that i was a big part to help them get together till today because of job discription.  as i have to do reception Suppliers and Customers from overseas on behalf of my boss.  Besides from get them together i was also got involved with his ex-wife stuff. One day in first year they met, the girl ( colleague ) handed me her mobile phone asked me speak with a woman in the other end of the phone line. She was her bf's wife. My colleague claimed that she couldn't catch her words, so I spoke with her, she talked over the phone ( to me ) that " You please stop contact her husband, his son was sad and cried" I told her that i was not her husband's gf and told her as that girl my colleague told me said to her that Mr. C said you two were already end. She said "All thai girls is just same, they wanted to go to have a good living in European Countries by taking anyone husbands they dont care.. bla.. bla.. bla.." I hung up feeling guilty, the girl colleague tried to explain to me the situation about her relationship with this guy. They were once invited me and my bf to dinner as her bf and my bf working in the same feild. We didnt accept, my bf said he didnt like this couple, she used me ( left me handle her bf's wife issue ) and just another greedy girl, who can do anything just for a richer man even dumbed her 13 years long relationship ex-bf to him. Anyway, time to go to ATM get my small money put in her wedding invitation envelop, this is 5 days late already.   

If I send you a wedding invitation, will you also put "small money" and send it back to me? LOL... Have a nice day.

I would even fly over your country attend the wedding party, where and when .. ? ;-)

Interesting situation you describe here, there is probably more to the story from both sides too.

I have been married to a Thai women for almost 10 years, over the last 2 years our marriage has fallen apart, and we both are are living separate lives. Marriage is tough especially in the days we live in now, it takes understanding, forgiveness and sometimes hard work to keep it together. A marriage to a foreigner is even tougher, because of the stereotypes and whispers behind the back.

For anyone willing to tackle marriage today, i wish them all the best of luck, because for every failed marriage you hear about, there is one or more that continues on, quietly and happily......

However, why even bother to mention this all to the public now, regardless of how you feel, envy or whatever........there's always 2 sides of any story, whether it's good or bad? Give me a finder's fee, and I get you an intro to the guy of your dreams, but at 95, it maybe a bit too late...........lol

In order for a guy to want to get married, he needs to be flat broke, mentally ill as in codependent, or have a short memory as to how any woman can just snap and turn on you in a split second. (Turn on you ... Not turn you on.)

Marriage is not a viable option in today's world unless there is an exit plan when you go into it.

Show me a successful marriage and I'll show you two mentally ill people or at least one alcoholic who avoids contact with the other when possible... Except for sex out of duty or horniness.

I understand what you are saying here. Still there are two sides of the story as a lot of people have said. However, I believe partly that the guy is not exactly that decent if his ex-wife, or still his wife, called your colleague and said something like that.

It'd take someone who's quite selfish to take a guy who still has some kind of baggage with him. I'd love to hear from both side not only for the guy if I were in her shoes. But I guess it's a little too late to comment now since all is done.

I guess u'll just have to try to be happy for them. I hope all is well and no problem will come after for this couple.

My dear P' Nicky, that was one and only i get involved with this issue...and she just used me to handling it. Im not good to deal with this kind of stuff really, dont be worry ka. :-) I still ask her about him from time to time. Seems she enjoyed to share also even Pam my niece hung out with her only one time, she knew everthng about him. lolz..

My dear Nong S. The truth is i never told this story with anyone else just a bf as they invited us to dinner and i informed him a bout their background abit.. ( okay you can call gossip ). Im happy with them really, besides from this issue they never got me in any trouble I avioded it though . I also wish the great love they have for each other is the greatest love of all and last forever.

If you asked me will i marry a rich man jerk ? I can say difinetely NO WAY. Many kinds of successful that we girls can have without money involved. Dependents of what kind of sucessful you defined.
