There are many free programmes to choose from, I can recommend AntiVir. I have used it for years and it is very good, has regular updates............and its free :-)

AVAST is also another good free option.

AVG is widely used, updates every day - and it's free :-)

poul it s right, avg it s a good free antivirus but the best no pay antivirus it s NOD 32. if you want, digit it in google and you can have the free installation and every day the automatic update

Maybe you can just periodically backup your data on CD-R or DVD( this will keep lots or remaining space on your PC), or partition your hard disk and save your data on Drive D instead :-)

AVG free edition. It's way smaller than the two main anti-virus programs. Works really well also.
