Division Meeting in the late afternoon last week made my coworkers, supervisors and I bored to death... we asked each others why we came here...cuz there was nothing about us at all, lolWe set in the back of conference room like an high school gangster who do anything but studying. While I was drawing my stupid face.... and designing cloths... One of supervisor talked to me....S: Neung, nong P (she is my age) told everyone that she planned to get married.

Me: (Still drawing, and didn't pay attention) Yeah good for her.

S: She said she would get married with a farang guy.

Me: (Still drawing) Why I'm not surprise... and that's good for her as well.

S: So???

Me: (Still drawing) So what?

S: (Tried to get my eyes contact) So how about you? I thought you have someone... Don't you wanna get married with him?

Me: (put down my pen... looked at her in the eyes) You might think I'm crazy, believe it or not... Those words scare me. Yes, I really wanna get married...but I don't know how's my life gonna be after getting married, it might be better it might be worse. Only time will tell. I might be someone house wife, or staying single like this, that's why I hang out with you guys. To be honest, I can live without husband but I can't live alone. I think it's most girls dream. Get good husband, raise their children, and live together till the end of their life. If I could see there was such a perfect things ahead I would go for it. Unfortunettly I'm not fortune teller. Besides, I'm not young to risk all my life with someone, if that I have to make sure that "we" can take care of each others...

But love is about taking chances... Don't be like me, I try to calculate everything, plan everything, listen to my brain always but never my heart. Sometime you just have to let go and take a risk. Good luck with that :)

I agree with you, I have the same feelings towards getting married, especially with the way people are nowadays, but at some point, we'll have to try things that we're scared of, don't forget that marriage can also be something beautiful that you wouldn't wanna risk losing just because you're scared of it :)

I believe in marriage.

I welcome having someone who loves me more than anything in the world. Having a friend who i can share with and who can support me in the times I need help. It gives me a person who I can love without fear. A good marriage provides a home that is a place of peace and allows you to forget the crap from work, etc.

Like I've said in other journals, marriage is not easy. Arguments will happen. Compromises have to be made.

Listen to your heart, my friend, but also think about what the other person is giving you in the relationship. If they give more than they ask and you do the same, things probably will work out.

All the best.

Once again, I think that Nikki has very good comments.

People were "married or paired" long before we had institutional marriage, which was probably developed for society to regulate property ownership and support of children.

What most single people do not realize that many, many, many people are in relationships or married and still feel, lonely, sad, angry, missing out...........
