I'm wondering...

Guys, would you date a girl who used to date/hook up with your close/best friend, esp if she's hot and super nice? I've been discussing about this with my girls and still couldnt figure that out cos according to our (my) GIRLFRIENDS RULE, we dont date/sleep with the guys our friends used to go out with. Simple as that. Guys dont seem to have that problem, do they? I just dont know, help me out. Thanks!  You can now also response to a forum under this same topic here

It's only ok if you never want to speak with your friend again. That goes for guys as well as girls. The rare exception is if your friend didn't really like them that much and made it clear that they're ok about it (but even then they might get upset).

haha, I find it more about the group for friends and how the break up was, if I was to hook up with my good friend david's ex, he wouldn't give a ****, but if I hooked up with my other mate called igors ex girlfriend, he'd probably behead me. I find guys are way more protective of ex-girlfriends rather then girls, im not sure where you got the opinion from. all in all there is no answer, it's all variables:)

Lets say thing was over between them and they're just friends now. I know people can still get jealous of the exs, even with your friends. How do we deal with that, if you think that the new person, a friend of your ex, could be the one or perfect for you?

It depends how close they where

And i should talk to my friend and see what he tinks about it first.

And if i felt it was the love of my life then i really should talk to my friend and explain it and hope he ok with it

One of my best friends are married today with one of my ex. And he talked about it with me first and i said it was ok

We still good friends all 3

If it doesn't work out between 'The girl' and your cool/best friend doesn't mean she don't get along well with you.

One life, give it a try! We're not Prathom 1 student anymore so if he is your cool/best friend, in time he will understand.

I think it would be odd, although currently I am really thinkin' that if my friend won't start dating this one girl, I would really be interested in her. But still, it just is bit creepy.

I say go for it.. if they have actually broken up and there are no present feelings. You will need the blessing of the friend to make sure its ok with her..

just because she couldnt make it work with the guy... does not mean you would be any worse. Sometimes you have to test the waters for urself..

If you want to laugh read Tucker Max story on this this is taken from tuckermax.com

"Some background info, that later becomes very important: While in law school, BrownHole made his living eating my leftovers. Seriously. In the three years at Duke, he hooked up with at least three girls after I was through with them, and tried to get with just about every other one I was dating, most of the time even when I was seeing them. This never bothered me, because either I didn't really care about the girl, or if I did, I knew he had no ability to take a girl from me that I cared about."

So if you like eating left overs you can go for it, if you want to be given grief from your mates GO FOR IT.

But I mate would probably shag an ex and blame it on the booze. Its just the way it is :s
