The very first time in my life..that I was introduced to this hole !!!!I turned red..head over heels.. I didn't know how to say it..I didn't know where to start..I didn't know what to do !!! My eyes went blind..my ears were shut !!----------As I was walking to observe if the classes were going good with no problems and my teachers were doing fine. I was asked to get into one class which this line was written on the board.'Why are manhole covers round?'With that puzzle looks in the students eyes and I was the little light at the end of that tunnel for them.'Why are manhole covers round?' I repeated it to myself again..'Why? = tammai'  - I got it right'are = verb' - i got it rightbut ... manhole? manhole? manhole ? manhole ? MANHOLEEEEEEEEE ?what the heck is that ?? Is it a man's hole ? and why the heck is it round ?My imagination went wild..wilder than you could ever imagine !! Luckily, my doubt was revealed when one of my teachers came by and I asked what a manhole was !!!!  Finally the students got it all...and they looked at me with big thanks ( when I actually did nothing but translated what my other teacher said ) and the answer to the doubt in their hearts was revealed.I didn't carry on to find why are manhole covers round..That question was left for the students to answer...But I walked out of the room with the question why ?why 'manhole' ...... 'a man's hole'could be !!!!!!

Manhole AKA utility hole, maintenance hole or access chamber. It's not always rounded, honey! there are square ones too.

i don't know the meaning also just know now!!

you would think that "manhole" would be a bit sexist these days as there is plenty of female utility workers around (telephone, power, water etc etc)

But i guess "People hole" or "person hole", just doesnt have the same ring to it!!
