Thai cookery question (to settle argument)

My friend said yesterday that his gf had made TOM YAH soup (hence why i want some tom yam today) I corrected him and said it should be Tom Yam, but he said no, this is the vegetarian version and is Tom Yah.

Can anyone enlighten me??

The bags go well with the rest of my ensemble!

I tried kimji my last trip over and it was pretty good - I just prefer to not know what's in it.

Thank you for these journals - they are very nice. Where is this market located by the way?

Iain_D>> TOM YAH?! huh? i repeated it many times... in case i might miss something...

Tom Yum = spicy soup

Tom Yah = ? err... something about boiling/soup... what is "yah"?

ammm....yah.. i'm thinking about grass or lawn....

oh! ic ... maybe it would be like joking...

Tom = boiling = soup

Yah = grass/lawn = vegetable 'only'

got it?

also Tom Yah made bythat girl... would be either plain or spicy one... she stresses on "vegetable", not type of soup

: )

oh!!! your ensemble??do you have any spare btw? (give it to me pls...hehe)

haha!! you really have no idea??? well, it's safe, i guarantee

Chatuchak (or Jatujak) weekend market in Bangkok is the largest market in Thailand, and largest of the world (from Wiki)...it is near the Mo Chit station of the BTS Skytrain (Sukhumvit Line)
