Its shocking me! Hope the Dolphins watch group will stop this cruelty.

World SHAME! DENMARK!! Denmark is a big shame The Sea is stained in red and in the mean while it’s not because of the climate effects of nature. It's because of the cruelty that the human beings (civilized human) kill hundreds of the famous and intelligent Calderon dolphins.  This happens every year in Feroe iland in Denmark. In this slaughter the main participants are young teens. In this big celebration, nothing is missing for the fun. Everyone is participating in one way or the other, killing or looking at the cruelty “supporting like a spectator”. Is it necessary to mention that the dolphin calderon, like all the other species of dolphins, it’s near instinction and they get near men to play and interact. In a way of PURE friendship.   They don’t die instantly; they are cut 1, 2 or 3 times with thick hocks. And at that time the dolphins produce a grim extremely compatible with the cry of a new born child. But he suffers and there’s no compassion till this sweet being slowly dies in its own blood.     Photobucket

and this Happen in Japan too.

There is a very disturbing documentary about the Japanese dolphin slaughter.

Japanese ask, "Why is eating dolphins and whales different from eating cows and sheep?"

The answer is simple - sheep and cows are farmed and are replaced at the same rate they are eaten. There is no chance of extinction for domestic animals.

The Faroe Islands are NOT danish - they are attached to Denmark by history and and some government appointments though. But they have their own flag, their own language (which cannot be understood by danes AT ALL), their own government and their own tradition which includes insane killings of these dolphins ('Grind'). The islands are located in the north atlantic ocean between Scotland and Iceland (if anyone doesn't know, it's very far from Denmark.)

So please edit your original post - this does not happen in Denmark, but on the Faroe Islands.

Yes, I have witnessed one killing myself - and I was terrified. They happen without control or mercy. The young boys are the worst (as you can guess), they seem to completely loose selfcontrol and use whatever tool they have (a pocket knife f.ex.) and the slaughtering makes no difference on grownup whales or babies.

I used to live there for 5 years. The majority of faroese ppl don't seem to like danes, and I don't have the greatet sympathy for them myself, sad to say.

The Faroe Islands are a part of the Kingdom of Denmark, along with Denmark proper and Greenland.

The Faroe Islands have been an autonomous province of Denmark since 1948. Over the years, the Faroese have been granted control of most matters. Some areas still remain the responsibility of Denmark, such as military defence, foreign affairs and law.

Whatever you say, this is not part of danish tradition, history or mentality. For clarity, it should be pointed out that this goes on at the Faroe Islands, not in Denmark. It's done by the faroese ppl, not danish.
