Due to damages at Khlong Raphipkat dam, they are now reducing water in the basin and channeling it through Khlong Rangsit. My wife already told me that the first houses in our project are flooded now and estimates that within two days, the water will be at our place. :mad: Luckily, some of her family helped her to get sofas, fridge and washing machine in the upper floor but still, the big furniture incl. the kitchen are at risk. I hope that this time the stupidity of the foreman who supervised the construction of our house will be helpful as due to his mistake, our house is sitting approx. 20-30cm higher than the surrounding ones.

Anything higher than normal is good. Those extra CMs could make a big difference. Time for her to get as much plastic wrap as possible, and start wrapping the big stuff up. It might help.

I know that we are still among the more lucky ones! Having your home flooded up to the celing for weeks for sure is much worse!
