Hi All,

Where do I start, im 38 been coming to BKK for the past 18 months 9 trips-5 day, 8 day stops, had a few nightime escapades, no scams luckily! i made some good contacts as im a creature of habbit I tend to use the same bars, morning night, hillary, bar 4, liquid etc... yes been to a few others q bar pat pong, cowboy, with guys I have met on drinking escapades!! I think im pretty realistic and have had a few girls that ive seen more than once, I kinda gt fed up going through the whole ritual- wht your name, where you come from- where you stay bla bla bla- so when ive found a suitable challenge I tend to stick with them for the trip, that was until one night I arrived in from Hong Kong having flown the 2 hours 30 minutes with a ginn and tonic refreshed constantly, then telling the tax driver at the airport "Majestic hotel quick as poss for a tip" it was mid night and 20 mins im at the hotel slung my bag in and out towards Nana, quick stop in the 7-11 and BANG- saw the fittest, prettiest thai girl I had ever seen!!! being brave and intoxicated to a degree, I just managed to say "Number" she looked at me like I was mad? "what number" she replied, then twigged I meant phone, we swapped numbers no more was said, I went to Hillary to meet a mate I always have a beer with- text the young lady and bingo 30 minutes later the hottest ive seen was by my side....(when I say hot, ive met a few ;>) but everytime I go to the toilet, cigarette etc guys are instantly trying to talk with her) fast forwarding the story, she is 23 was a dancer at Rainbow, not any longer as I decided to take the plunge and look after her (yes I know the perils!!) but as the title suggests ive kinda fallen for this one........ im a realist and know what she did, what shes capable of- my elongated question- how many guys on the forum have done similar and its worked out?? I speak to her every day, skype, phone etc.... I know 100% shes not working, and I have now visited her 3 times and im back next week where I intend on renting a condo for a while..... maybe some of you guys might knowmy lady?? I hope not but would be stupid not to get the intel??

I don't know what to say, man. Keep your wits about you. Remember that less than 1% of these relationships work out, and a large percentage of them end terribly.

Maybe you should try scamming her to stay one ahead of the game!

Thanks for heads up guys, I hve read stickman, spoken to many ex pats etc.... I think there comes a time when you hve to let your guard down, appreciate many girls are scammers and good at it too- my view is I will take each and every day as it comes and also only spend what im prepared to lose....

It took me many years to fully understand the saying "What you see is what you get", to view it from all angles and the consequences that go with it in the future.

I might have missed some big opportunities but overall I think it saved me a lot of headache.

It depends on what you want, need and how far you (are willing to) look ahead.

No offense, but your other option is to try and meet a girl not involved in the industry. :-)

It's always been my opinion that the girls who go this route have a character defect. A change in circumstances (i.e. being taken out of the bar) does not change the character defect any more than changing jobs would make an alcoholic sober up.

They got into the bars because they either are too lazy to work a real job or they're so fixated on money that they don't care what they have to do to get it (or both). Not exactly character traits that bode well for a long-term relationship.

Sure, some do wake up and realize that this lifestyle will eventually ruin them but it's like heroin addiction. The rehab rate is pretty low. Once you're hooked you can stop for awhile but you never really kick the craving.

That's why so many relapse. Sure, they can get out for a few months but either the reality of a 9 - 5 job or their desire to party all night and have guys throwing money at them, eventually lures them back.

They have ways to make you spend before you even realise it. Be careful...it's a jungle out there.

This should be the big red flashing light and siren you heed before posting a reader submission on Stickman in 6 months complaining that bar girls can't be tamed.

She was with a guy for 15 months and couldn't get her life together enough so she didn't have to go back and work in the bar? She didn't get a regular job in that 15 months? She didn't sack away any cash for a rainy day?

As I said, it's a character flaw. Someone took her out of the bar and presumably gave her a pretty comfortable life for 15 months. When that was over she was right back in the bar and keen to hook up with someone willing to "support" her.

This is the life she's chosen. I'll lay money on her never completing any beauty salon course or a semester of school. Like you said, she's lazy. Her options are, get some guy to give me money to be his girlfriend or go back and work in the bar until I find a guy willing to give me money to be his girlfriend.

Educating herself, finding a real job, etc are all things she says she wants to do because she knows that's what guys want to hear. They don't want to hear, "Hey, I'm lazy and like easy money." The guy gets to pretend he's rescuing her and she pretends she appreciates it.

Absolute Well said P'Bill...a few of them when get married with farang guys,some of them really changed..some couldn't ..Mostly they like their social always want to drink dance and have lots of flirting and fun.I don't blame them because lots of your farang guys made them get easy money.

I have one story interesting ,there is a Thai woman ,she came from a poor village, ,that time she work in a bar,Then There is a man ..well he's not just nobody,he is a relative of one European royal family,and he is extremely rich..She became Thai Cinderella..That time she was 17 years old,They got married after ,he brought her to his country and lived in his palace,He sent her to school,she drove rolls royce to school,she has her private security guard,Her life was so fabulous like a princess ,they lived together for almost 15 years ,then they got divorced,that wealthy man gave her some money but not much, and he left her a 4 millions condo in Bangkok and one of a house in Thailand which he bought for her,Since then her life has been upside down.but she seems really love him ,Or love his money i don't really know.Now she 's become a middle class person in Thailand,i can't imagine how she can live if she used to lived like a princess in Europe and become like this in Thailand.End ja..
