It's damned hot!

Those of us who live in Bangkok can tell you that April is the hottest month of the year, and it?s hot. Damned hot!

Last year at Songkran time my air con went out and I suffered through it. Last night my air con went out again and I reported it to the manager, who smiled and told me that there?s no one around to fix it until next week. So that?s two years in a row of heat suffering. But my fan works and I?ll struggle through.

Well, I couldn?t find an excuse to get out of the city so it looks like I?ll be in bkk through the long holiday. What do I do for fun? Tomorrow I?ll head to Villa Market and stock up on food and stuff, come back to my apartment and put triple locks on my door!

Truth is, I?ll be venturing out on Wednesday evening as I?m sponsoring a TF event for g5665 (see Social Events calendar) and then will meet another friend on Thursday or Friday too so I won?t hibernate the whole time.

Damn, it?s HOT!!!

Well khun, I feel with you. The only time I can stand the heat is when I have holidays, *period*. When I have to work, I nearly prefer winter instead of summer - even here in Denmark, summers can be unbelievable hot, also due to high humidity...and we don't have any traditions for aircon here, especially not in private homes (you pay enough for the heating during winter time). For the time being it's OK (summer starts in a month or so). If you want to cool off a little, come to Denmark :-)

Well, Khun Lung, next year, at the end of March, have an aircon man come and do a full maintenance check. Well, you live and you learn. I think we've all been through this during one hot season or another.

Eat lots of ice cream, drink lots of tall frozen drinks with alcohol in them, and sleep, sleep, sleep.

Anny, actually sleeping nude doesn't help. Just means "your boys" (in Thai, your eggs) don't have anything soaking up there sweat. Picture that! Sweaty Scrotum- ewwww. Tomorrow when we through water aim for the boys! They need the relief!

Uncle Mike- Hey, if me and Mrs hit this place called Charlie Brown's on Soi 11 (specialize in Mexican) ya want us to give you a call? Unfortunately it only opens at 17:30. Other hot people please feel welcomed to call me for this.

As for the heat- It's no longer Damn Hot. The Government has officially moved the expression to "Fucken Hot." Even PM Thaksin was heard to mumble under his breath the other day, while standing at a micraphone he thought was turned off, "It's fucken hot. When I took this job I didn't think I'd always have to wear this suit jacket. Damn, its Fucken hot."
