TPOTY is open for the 2006 competition, I know there are a few good photographers here, all you need is 4 good portfolio photographs, or 1 good 1 off image. I might enter 1 or 2 of these pics but nothing definate yet!

Sorry for the boring travel pics, but Im getting bored going through 1000s of them just to find 4 that might get me a prize, so I might as well bore you all as well!!

Nahh the Owl as alive, it took me 3 days to take and hours crawling around in **** and dirt! Oh no, impossible to choose from these! And good that you gave info about your equipment, so that I don't have to ask (or any other photographyjunkie :-). (But I would leave the owl away. Not so much a travel photo...Great shot but...) The picture of somekind of writings hanging is a different view, not so "typical travel photo from Asia", imho. Atleast it makes me ask: What are those, what is the story behind the picture?

yeah theres very little story behind any of them, I dont want to bore u anymore! 1900 photos into 4 is gonna be hard!

They are all very nice pics! I can see what you want to do with each of them...can I ask you what equipment you use? A dSLR (or film?) guaranteed...you don't get that shallow DOF and bokeh with a digicam...

If some of them have a chance is hard to say - depends on what they want I guess. 'National Geographic' type or 'art' pics - your selection has both..
