tech_noir
what kind of payment would the resaurant require  ? I wouldn't like to leave my soul. Hmm... whatever I chose: 1. Would feel sorry that I didn't chose something else (maybe it would be even better) and that would drive me mad, 2. Would become borred very soon - the gained has no value for you if you didn't gather it yourself. And no surprise. Propably I would close ayes and point something random. Sometimes I really think about joining UN or EUFOR, which would send me long-term in some place where people need help. Maybe I'll do it after several years when they hire again. zeusbheld
i was thinking more along the lines of "life is like a restaurant. you show up. you eat. you pay. you leave."
zeusbheld
And often you spend quite some time on the toilet afterwards. Toilet, a metaphor for the afterlife in hell or heaven? Come to think of it, I didn't order sh*t when I got here. I just got dumped and now you tell me it's a restaurant, I thought it was a theatre really, with all actors and actresses and stuff. didn't eat? as the famous songwriter, marvin-the-mandolin-guy's-4-year-old-son, famously wrote: "ya gotta eat... ya gotta behave." so um. eat and behave. oh and dropping a log isn't an afterlife. it's just dropping a log, completing the 'eat' cycle. Dr_Sassy
Life is like a restaurant, you get what you've ordered!" I dont usually get what I have ordered. Most of the time, foods were served cold, MSG added, salty, oily, crappy sauce, bad ingredients and sometime I got food poisoning... BUT I do enjoy all of my wine and dine partner(s). They help me eat delicious/crappy foods, share the bill and try new restaurant again and again...
English_George
....???? ....If life is like a restaurant then you're willing to let your life be decided by bad service and a hefty bill..... ...Why wait for people who have no idea about what you really want, bring you what you didn't ask for? ...Why spend time around the metaphorical "Table of life" with people who want to order something completely different, gobble it all up, try a piece of yours and then want you to split the bill. ...When..... you could get off your ass and go out to the metaphorical "Store of life" ....Cook something nice with your own hands, and not have to worry about someone getting your order wrong and you eating something you don't want through this life............. .If you're looking at the other guy's dinner then you know you've ordered the wrong thing.... .........Self cuisine may seem an effort.......but what's anything good without a bit of effort in life?

GoldMember
Life is exactly like a restaurant. You never get what you order, it's overpriced, undercooked and rare when you asked for it well done. Well done in a Parisian restaurant is taken by the waiter as a pre congratulatory gesture to the chef. The concept of 'well done' as a method of cooking is not fully understood. Whereas order 'rare'-depending on choice ,the end result will be an animate object still mooing, crowing ,bleating or oinking in the middle of your plate. Price admittedly are commendably reasonable for this Sashimi a la Francaise
Mazzy
The waiters of the best eating-houses mock the whole world; they estimate every client at his proper value. This I know certainly, because they always treat me with profound respect. Thus they have flattered me into praising them thus publicly. Yet it is true; and they have this insight because they serve, and because they can have no personal interest in the affairs of those whom they serve. An absolute monarch would be absolutely wise and good. But no man is strong enough to have no interest. Therefore the best king would be Pure Chance. It is Pure Chance that rules the Universe; therefore, and only therefore, life is good. Thought it was relevant...Somehow...
