theRascalKing
Next week I am heading to Cambodia for about 5 days then on to Vietnam for about 2 weeks. Does anyone know if Thai mobile phones will work in Cambodia and Vietnam? I am in 1-2-Call if that matters. Does Cambodia and Vietnam use the same electrical plug-in as Thailand? TIA Edited February 24, 2012 by FarangFarang
Kitschiguy
Yeah, they use the same plugs 1-2-Call works over the border but will go out of signal as you move further inwards. I used it in Laos but it went out of signal as I went east towards the Vietnam border and north away from Vientiane.

TIA Yes 1-2-call has roaming in Cambodia, at least in SR and PP, as I just used it a couple of weeks ago. Make sure your credit is well up before you leave LOS. I don't know about Vietnam as last time I was there i didn't have 1-2-call but I can tell you next week. 1-2-call seems to have been signing up quite few more roaming partners recently as I have used mine in Switzerland, Italy and Cambodia in the last few months. Aomazon
For thailand, I think you need to be on post-paid list to do that. But as far as i experienced like US,French Sim doesnt have to be post-paid to use the services. So yah ask the call center. I think 2 weeks in Vietnam... better get viet sim

I completely agree. If I roam with my Belgian SIM-card in Thailand it'll cost me about ? 0,40 per min (= 18,4577 THB). And that's only for local calls.
