HEAR ME?? I DID NOT DO IT!! f*ck YOU!! f*ck OFF!!Then people stop asking about details, but still look at me in strange ways and talk behind my back. And there's no way to get rid of it, it's really a lie which has become truth and will be remembered forever. Sucks. But I love talking smack about people, blaming them for stuff I know they didn't do, blackmailing, lying and generally promoting chaos and conflict. Can't live with gossip and can't live without, it's that annoying mosquito when I'm trying to fall asleep but also the spice which makes social interaction worthwhile. Talking about events might be cool, or ideas even better, but sometimes the spice of vile rumors behind someone's back, or even better, right in his face and with his mother and girlfriend at the table, that's priceless. ooooh yes.... Ive been guilty of this a few times. Dropping 'bomb' and then gently backing away and observing how people react and behave. Love that. Sometimes when things (or rather people) get boring, I do this. Dinner parties are a classic environment. "So, Betty, saw you in pharmacy the other day. Is the ointment working?" ...or.... Gossips are both rumors and facts!!! But as I know of there is no gossip about me .. that's the beauty of it .! Gossip is not a gossip when the people in it know they are the victims ! Oh reeeeeally? Most voters vote with their opinions which they got from listening to others opinions and from reading papers etc. Most discussion about politics (unless very learned people involved) is based of what people hear from others.... this is gossip... of sorts. People talking about other people (mostly negative). Listen to most conversations about politicians and it sounds just like gossip. Look at the dictionary meaning of gossip I posted at the start. Umm i think PeeMarc might spent too much time CHITCHAT with people in Isaan and North of Thailand Most of my political discussion doing with the peers, based on the fact and reliable sorces and also principle thoughts.. Is that still gossip ? If it still is.. i have to admit i enjoy gossip then.. sorry :? Wait, wait , wait... let's go back a minute... Can I just clarify bigKus that you judge a persons level of intelligence and social understanding dependant on their geographical origins... i.e. because someone is from Isaan or the North of Thailand they could not possibly be as knowledgable as you and your peers in political matters? I let this comment from BigKus go the other day because the whole discussion on peoples (perceived) intelligence based on their location or where they are born was going to open another can of worms. And this forum is about gossip. I have great Thai friends for all parts of Thailand and each group will occassionally slag off at the other groups intelligence or lack of it. Isaan people will have opinions about bkk people and vise-versa. This kind of attitude also happens in Australia and other countries too. It's not just a Thai thing. This doesn't make it right of course. But, coming back to the topic, I find that most Thais, regardless of where they are from, do rely a lot on gossip, heresay and talk (from family firends or associates) to gather information or get a recomendation.
