Tattoo you?

I never got a tattoo done. I've come close a few times, but never had enough urge or reason to want one.

The closest I came was the last time I was in Amsterdam. I went to a place there which is famous for doing all the stars like Keith Richards et al (the name of the place escapes me now). I was stoned as a maggot (as one can be in Amsterdam) and wandered in to see if any designs they had turned me on enough to get one. After about 2 hours of getting lost in all their amazing designs (as one does when completely whacked), I guess the hash wore off and I wandered ouit again.

I never had the urge again.

A few years ago, I took my girlfriend (at that time) to Bali. We'd only been together about a month.

We were wandering around Seminyak and all of a sudden she said "Oh honey, I really want to get a tattoo! I've never had one before." I said fine and we went into a tiny shop so she could get one.

"I want to make it surprise for you darling" she smiled and threw me a cheeky wink. "Go away and come back later". I said ok, and strolled down the street to get some breakfast and read the paper for a while.

By the time I got back to the tattoo shop, she was just getting the last of the bandage put on, and I could see she'd decided to get a small design (I could tell by the bandage) right next to her *****. She looked excited and really wanted to show me, so she teased me about her little mystery tattoo all the way back to our hotel.

Back in the room, her antics kept going, she pushed me down to sit on the bed and then put her bikini on and did a kind of exotic dance with her sarong, stripping slowly as she danced.

And there, finally I saw her tattoo, right in front of my face. She had designed her own little flower and across that pretty flower was a ribbon with my name - M A R C - as clear as daylight.

Now, I don't know what other guys would say in a moment like this, especially in a relationship that's only a month old. But it really took all my inner control and Zen-like resolve to just 'smile' and look into her expecting brown eyes and say "wow! Gosh.... that's.... er....great!"

We broke up about 3 months later (not because of the tattoo I might add) and I wondered for a long time what the next guy would think when he first explored her 'nether regions'. How would he react to my name being stamped forever on her private bit?

I heard she stayed single for a long time. Perhaps a year or more. But then I heard from a friend that she finally met the love of her life. They are still together to this day, so I'm told.

And what was his name? you ask.

(and this absolutely true)

MARCUS

What's your tattoo story?

Probably the most famous parlour in Amsterdam is Hanky Panky in the "Walletjes" area of town... Watch out for the coffee shops...(they dont sell coffee)..

Think the guy is Hells Angel...not sure..was looong time ago....

Sorry, slightly off topic..

Normal service now resumes...

Hey thanks 'tilaceer'. This is the actual place I went. Among other too.

But it still doesnt inspire me to get a tattoo. and I probably never will.

Oh.... and I already know all about the 'coffee shops' in Amsterdam.

Thanks

If you want to do some coffee shoppin' legally in Holland you might want to do it asap. Because they might dissapear sooner than you like. In Rotterdam they already closed a number of shops near schools and it might be the beginning of the end.

All good things come to an end eventually. Ho-hum...

It was an interesting and quite lateral solution and social experiment in Holland as are many things there. I'm not sure if it worked or not. But it was great each time I went there. Certainly making criminals of people who smoke doesnt work, banning it completely like the moonshine days of America doesnt work either. I wonder what will be the new solution if they do close the coffe shops? Everything go underground again?

I still find it quite insane how governments can continue to reap massive cash in taxes from tobacco and alcohol (clinically, nicotine is more addictive than heroin and more poeple die of smoking each year than from heroin and alcohol put together) but at the same time cant deal with cannibis.

Anyway, thats off topic.... got any tat stories dude?

I would never put a name on a tattoo unless it was either my parents, siblings or favorite pets name. Girlfriends and wives can change with the seasons and unless your willing to do a cover up I would advise against it.

Good thing for ex though.... she only had to pay for two more letters...

Hmmm... No tattoo stories, except that, many Filipino people still view tattoos as a symbol reserved for those in jail...

Not that I belong to the many who view tattoos as only for someone in jail, but personally, I don't like anything painted on my body which would take forever to remove...

Yes to Glitter Tattoo though. ;)

yes that is of course very cool, especially the pets name and "that is my mamas name" is very believable too. A family tree would be best, in case you forget their names and it will always show them that you are still a family member.

let me enlighten you

in most tattoo shops they use tattoo machines and what the sexy girl was talking about are the kind of tattoos monks in Thailand do with a long needle, the look is more classy like the prison tattoos made with a ball pen :D

No :o , do tell...

and what the sexy girl was talking about

Now that was slick tiger. I'm sure Josie is still turning over in bed over that one.

Yes, prison tatoos are definitely high class... Especially when worn with a couple of piercings and used blue jeans. A sure combo to enter any refined establishment.
