LakeGeneve
Not sure it COULD be worse than Samak...He was blamed for soldiers shooting unarmed student protestors TWICE while he was Bangkok governor previously... He famously denied this massacre ever took place - stating "only one unlucky man died that day, beaten to death by protestors." Mate, what are you referring to? Samak was only BMA Gov from 2000-04 and I cannot recall any incidents of students being shot by soldiers while protesting in that period > ( students do get shot from time to time from drunk soldiers in bars though). The massacre reference and statement of only one death (made in Feb this year in a CNN interview which caused so much outrage- he subsequently repeated the same lie in a BBC interview), I guess are in relation to Oct 1976 incident at Sanam Luang when Samak was Interior Minister. The perogative of being PM, you have a PR machine to engage in historical revisionism. So I assume this is what you referring to????
