Andy_bkk
Thailand has a new prime minister and the TF community seems now mysteriously dead silence regarding this topic contrary to its usual behaviour  Is this topic becoming too embarrassing to discuss? The PAD finally managed to get Samak out just for Thaksins brother-in-law to step in. Which effectively means that the situation actually went from bad to worse. There is nothing gained and nothing to celebrate. The idea is to get Thaksin as far as possible away from politics.
sunsnow
Hooray for boobies! Ups, wrong topic I guess... Well, what PAD people did suppose to happen? It ain't got no political representatives so...Just waiting for the new general election then.
English_Bob
Not sure it COULD be worse than Samak... He was blamed for soldiers shooting unarmed student protestors TWICE while he was Bangkok governor previously... He famously denied this massacre ever took place - stating "only one unlucky man died that day, beaten to death by protestors." The new guy (Somchai) has a reputation of being inefficient and weak - ideal to be exploited by Thaksin. However, it also means he is unlikely to stand up to PAD demonstrators. He is starting from position of weakness by his relationship to Thaksin and unless he can convince people he won't interfere with the judicial system AND won't tamper with the constitution, he won't last very long. I'm afraid we'll see more of the same for the foreseeable future.

OutOfOrder
they should just do a lucky draw. Then we won't have to bang each other's heads against the wall for it.

LakeGeneve
^ **** mate, can you pls, pls, pls get off the drugs! Your multiple posts are really more than annoying. So, on a scale of 1 to 10, how corrupt is this one? Given that he is family and will be completely loyal to Taksin, perhaps a 12?
nzguy
Thailand has a new prime minister and the TF community seems now mysteriously dead silence regarding this topic contrary to its usual behaviour :roll:Is this topic becoming too embarrassing to discuss? embarassing and boring. a new prime minister doesnt solve anything, it only makes the problems seem smaller on the surface. you can only wait and see how the new guy does but just the fact that hes a relative of thaksin has him starting off on the wrong foot.
