In fact, I see some members actually agree with the comments. The problem is what? You can complain about TF, it's welcome! But when it's just plain trolling by aggrieved ex-members who are just blatantly attacking TF and its members, then yes, you will get a card... Why am I telling you this? i am guessing there is more to this than we mere "members" know .... but it's obvious (well it would appear to me at least) that TF is becoming more of a money making website than a community were ppl can interact and dissenting voices, while not always agreed with, can be heard !! although if yellow cards r being dished out an explanation "might" help other members avoid them in the future .... although that might spoil the fun for the Mods !! :twisted: :twisted: i mean there's one guy who has been a member for years (although not particularly active) who's now come alive and who's main aim in life appears to be get ppl banned if he doesn't like them or their opinions !! nice chap !! But who generates more page hits? The people who come in to look at a few profiles in the, usually, vain attempt to get laid? OR... The long-term members who are usually on the site daily and generate a very high number of page hits. Granted, one group is considerably bigger than the other. But I dare say that the long-term members give this site some sort of "image". There are websites in Thailand that are FAR better for getting laid. But they're about as dull as dull as some of the sensitive people on this site. I'd like to see the traffic stats and if they distinguish between long-term members and short-time "tail sniffers"... I thought it was against the rules to attack someone on the site. That became regularly enforced to try and stop some of the ugly ***** slapping nasty forum fights. No, specifically he was yellow carded for his opinions about the regular party going members only, who happen to be the most influential and one is the owner. And NOT ONE member has yet to actually disagree with those comments directly (other than to just slag back). And even Condotown actually suggested the comments were valid. Got the T&C open in front of me now. Searching for the passage referencing "attacks on TF". Unfortunately, said passage doesn't appear to exist. Maybe you can give me the exact location as it's not in the T&C that's linked to by the homepage of the site. (as a former baseball umpire, I used to HATE managers pulling out the rule book on the field to show me an error I'd made. Total loss of face.) Mate, I appreciate you have been trying to raise the standard of conduct on TF and keep threads in a good tone. It is a hard job and I for one would not wish for it but you have been on a slippery slope for the last few weeks with your interventions and threats. This yellow card seems to be based on the most flimsiest of reasons. it really appears to be very subjective and without much reference to the T&Cs - which if we were all honest are breached on an hourly basis! Do you really want to be pedantic and yellow card 50% of members every week? Perhaps, if a bunch of TF members PM'd you and complained about the member (even if it is a fake member) but who can really be offended by the members comments. Freedom of speech is an important principle especially in a country where censorship of the internet is growing. A bit of criticsm of TF is hardly something to be afraid of especially if most members can judge that the poster is obviously predisposed to a negative generalisation. Just ignore it. You don't have to answer to anyone but Admin but you do need to retain the confidence and respect of members in performing an arduous and invidious job. Best of luck.
