Cool,

Can anyone shed any light onto this one?

At my school they have Thai phrases translated into English all over the place but I just can't figure this one out. Its good advice obviously but what is it a metaphore for?

DO NOT TRY TO BREAK A KNIFE HANDLE ON YOUR KNEES

I think it is like do not try to break the handle of an axe on your leg/knee, you will never do it....So the proverb could be likened to "Do not try to take on Thaksin in the General Election" you are never going to win...so an impossible task.
