people watching...

On this trip I've loved just sitting at bars and restaurants and watching the world go by. And as I've learned more about my camera and what I like shooting, I've discovered I also love taking people shots, so have been experimenting a lot with my zoom lens. Slightly voyeuristic but think I got some half decent shots. Here are some of my favourites so far... the whole collection is at http://s1309.beta.photobucket.com/user/Iaininthailand/library/

Escape!!

Managed to evade Chinese State Security and smuggle myself on a flight to Malaysia. Was strange; despite having a vpn set up that allowed me to access facebook, any attempt to access TF got a 'this website is under construction' message. It's been a hectic trip and really looking forward to reaching Langkawi on Saturday and doing nothing but lie on a beach and drink beer. Singapore was interesting; cleanest place I've ever visited (and the safest) but it disturbed me that just below the surf

Who had...?

Who of you had the great privilege of having a father for more than 51 years? I had! And he was a great father, well with his good and not so good sides but only the one who is without any fail may throw the first stone. This night, my father passed away, luckily (although his cancer and the subsequent treatment with more and more hard medications) having been mentally ok and also being (although decreasingly) mobile until four days ago and after that, a bit disturbed but still recognizing his f

Any new interesting in BKK?

Hello all, I haven't been here for a while so the lTF look is still new to me. LOL. Anyway, I heard that there are some nice and interesting places in BKK lately. I am looking for some nice places to hang out with friends or somewhere with good atmosphere/live musics. Any ideas would be appreciated. Also, any new places for recreational activities or worth a visit in the country would be good as well. Thanks,

Good old music

Well, some of you might not agree, but I know that the majority of you will be happy with this. Music from the 70s up to music in the style of those days from the 180s up to the 2000's deriving from there. If you have any contributions (and please, no Michael Jackson and other crap), please feel free to contribute! http://www.thailandfriends.com/group.php?groupid=54
