Rah!!! My blood's boiling!! My old village cleaner comes to me and told me that she's gonna have a farang husband soon. I was like, what the ****? She said she just signed up with a dating company to find her a farang husband. All she has to do is pay them 2,000 b in order for them to make her an internet profile and reply her email and ****. She didn't pay them yet but she will have to pay them as soon as they found her a man.Then what next? She said the purpose of this is so she can get 'money'  when he marries her. So i was like.... And what makes you think he's gonna give you money? She said it's the agreement with the agency that they will demand dowry from the man for her. I asked how much, she said about 500,000 b. (By this time i already wanted to hit her.) Then her plan is to not live with her future farang husband but go back to her hometown. OH my god what a ******* moron. I told her off really badly for the very first time i actually swore AT her. I tried to play calm (cus i still need her to work for me)... Told her that it's disgusting and immoral and it's totally embarrassing for the whole nation!! But she was already in the fantasy world.....And then she said, she's gonna bring ALLLLL her relatives to him so he can support them too. I was like.... You **** wit... As long as you have hands and feet you make your own money!........... Just bc you're born poor doesn't mean you have no opportunity. I started my job at 15,000 b pay a month and bought my own business in four years. And I've always eat well and sleep well.It's not unrealistic at all. Just some of these god damn lazy ***** that ruin the reputation of all the thai girls. I'm totally disappointed with what i heard today out of this woman's mouth. I mean... she probably sees girls (maybe you?) with farang bf and is envious. She doesnt speak a word of English, probably doesnt speak Thai well either. So what options does she see? I will venture a guess: not many. One options she has heard about is getting a farang bf. So how can she do that? Go work in a bar in Pattaya? She hears about this option which costs her nothing until she can get a guy. And the Thai sales pitch probabably has promised her a dowry of 500k when in fact there is no way of ensuring such a promise. IN Thailand companies like this promise the world and are never taken to court.

I feel sorry for her. But I dont hate her for it. She is a product of her environment who has far fewer choices than an attractive, 20 something girl who speaks Engish and a decent job.

There are more people of this kind around us than you (or I) want to imagine.

I know. Her bf is the security guard for my building and he likes to ask her for money. He's in debt and had/has affair with other women. I pity her stupidity. But I don't pity her for the fact that she'd rather take the dirty option.

A lot of poor women would rather marry a poor farang than to marry a poor thai ... cus the farang still seem like a brighter hope. At least you might get to live in a nice house and no debt. If she's really determined that a farang is better, go for it... But not by becoming a mail ordered bride.

The thing is, if she could marry a rich thai man that will give her money, she would. Just that no rich thai man would have her. It all comes down to the $ no matter how you try to convince each other that it's innocent.

She about 55 years old at least and about 65 kilos at least. Got a kid that she never raise bc she didn't want to (She said).... So just before u try to imagine some sort of knight shining armor situation... Well, it's not.
