I fired my last worker bc she used to turn up an hour late and then i caught her stealing.Looks like my new cleaner is starting to pinch little knick knacks but unfortunately (for her)... they are my favorite knick knacks! (Otherwise i wouldn't have noticed.)There's no solid prove to it yet but when it gets hard core, I will have to set her up to find out the truth. Otherwise i can just turn my blind eyes on, but is she worth that kind of reward? Time will tell, but i'm so bored of these kinds of situation!!

That's why I always prefer to do everything by myself. Not only do I feel very uncomfortable giving order and being a boss, I'm also impossible to satisfy. BTW- I would never hire somebody to help me with housework, it would make me feel so weird...

the last maid I had stole $350 in foreign currencies. I keep the loose bills from traveling plus about $200 in USD cash for travel in an envelope with amounts written on side and stashed in a locked drawer in a big file with other documents. She couldnt manage to find time to complete the simple chores but she had time to find the key then find the cash. I heard she went to work at the Intercontinental Hotel.

If you can't trust someone not to steal from you, you cannot have them in your home. Apart from the things you might lose, it will play on your mind all the time.

It might be an idea to ask on TF, or some of your friends, if they have, or can recommend a good, trustworthy cleaner. Good ones are always busy, but you might be lucky.

Parts of it is my fault. I do leave valuable looking things lying around as if they're not worth anything.... Cupboards are never locked....... I can understand that it is tempting... i just assume i can trust.
