It's odd for someone who spent his working life as a banker to say this, but desire - another word for greed - lies at the root of most human misery. BTW, "money is the root of all evil" is in fact a misquotation of St Paul, who wrote in I Timothy that "THE LOVE OF MONEY is the root of all evil"

How do you expect me to have time to listen to this?

I've had "Slumdog Millionaire" on my hard drive for months now and still haven't had the time or inclination to view it.

I will go with the herd on this one ;-) YES, very good talk! I thought it was too long when I first saw the 54 minutes length, but after a few minutes, I had to watch the whole thing.

One BIG comment though, BEGGARS in BKK! Those PRO beggars that make MUCH more than most working people in BKK, have "seed" money in their bowls/cups of 1, 5, 10 baht, sometimes 20, BUT, and a BIG BUT! The begging orange robe monks ALWAYS have exactly ONE 100 Baht note neatly pressed into the bottom of their bowl for seed money. Hinting you should "donate" that much or higher. That REALLY seems greedy to me. But maybe they are not really monks? Impostors maybe?
