We stopped by to see how the little ones were doing. Today, Baba Khan was there. We chatted and I asked if I could take a family photo for them. He acquiesced and I shot a few photos. Then I decided that I needed a pic with the two little ones. So I kneeled down beside them and Shoaibjan snapped a few shots. I snapped a couple of close ups as well. Little Jalil was still repeating over and over "hello, fine thank you, hello, fine thank you" with that cute little grin.So I taught him how to say; "Hello, my name is Jalilahmad." We shook hands. Exchanged smiles and Shoaibjan and I departed with a hearty "Khoda Hafez!" I let Shoaib go early from work so that he could head to downtown Herat and get the pics printed and the family portrait framed for their little shop. Another nice day in western Afghanistan. P.S. yesterday my old faulty memory made me "mis-remember" their names. lol The little gal is Nahida and the boy is Jalilahmad. Baba simply means father.

I told my Momma and step-Father, George, that they made me want to have kids of my own. George told me to adopt them. I told George that I'd have to send them to him to live while I was over here. George loves kids and immediately said; "OK!" But I told him that they were such polite children that my nieces and nephews would absolutely terrorize them. lol He conceded the point. haha
