GAV 2 Posted November 21, 2009 Report Share Chisel at their very BEST. Sadly they never moved on from here, In 1983 it all started going down hill for them. Yep bring em back, but for more that one gig. It will be in December at Olympic Park in Homebush. In support of the end of season bash for the V8 Supa Cars. It will be a night to remember !!! PeeMarc 1 Posted November 21, 2009 Report Share There used to be a small club in Sydney called 'The Stage Door'. It was here that I first saw these guys and was completely blown away. That was in the late 1970's and they were then way above any other band at that time and very quickly became legends. Sadly, as Gav says, they went downhill by mid 80's. It was around this time I got to know Jimmy because I started working with his half brother John Swan (Swanee) when he relaunched his career. Needless to say, they both loved a drink. For what it's worth, here are my 2 favourite Chisel songs: Flame Trees Bow River Link to comment
GoodKarma 2 Posted November 21, 2009 Report Share those were good Peemarc I agree these guys were very talented they definitely had a classic rock sound that would even sell today, i'm surprised their sound didn't become popular in the states... nothing flashy just down home rockin session..
