Very stressful interview this morning, but had studied like **** for it and had sociogenic and ontogenic theories of desistance coming out my ears, to say nothing of all relevant legislation of last 20 years. Felt it went really well; answered all questions really well and even expanded on them to show how much reading I had done.

4.45pm - phone call from the manager, or should I say MY new manager. I wiped the floor with the other candidates and have the job! Just need to work out my notice for current job but will hopefully start at start of April.

Much more responsibility, much more partnership working and, most importantly, an exceedingly nice 8K pay rise.
