(this rules *you* out, by the way, please find another line of work, or get back to PMing girls looking for a shag).

Sukhumvit_Farang
MY PERSONAL FAITH SAYS TO SHARE MY PERSONAL FAITH... IF YOURS SAYS NOT TO SHARE YOURS, THEN SHUT UP HYPOCRITE... That's one of my main objections to your faith: The fact that you feel the need to convince others to share your mindless views. My non-faith tells me not to go around trying to convince people that there is no god - even though there isn't. My non-faith tells me "Let other people believe what they want - as long as they are not hurting anyone else." My non-faith is tolerant of other people's views - however silly they might seem. So which seems better: A faith that requires you to shove your wrong opinion down the throats of others - or a non-faith that is tolerant? For me the choice is easy. And if you still prefer the intolerant brand of faith, what if my faith told me to kill people who don't share my beliefs? Would you find that acceptable? IF YOUR FRIENDS WERE ABOUT TO GET RUN OVER BY A TRAIN YOU MIGHT LET THEM... I CARE ENOUGH ABOUT MY FRIENDS TO TELL THEM TO GET OFF THE TRACKS!!! I've been on the tracks all of my life. Other people have been on the tracks since the beginning of time. The train still hasn't come. And it's not going to come. SawasdeeScott
now if that doesn't shut SawasdeeScott up, I don't what will. Osama's don't participate with arguments in a discussion, they use statements made by some imaginary figures form past centuries as evidences. As long they don't realize that faith is a mind thing they will keep using their interpretation of those old fairytale's /horror books as the only truth. Fanatic believing is a man killer, and only for people that don't have the guts to rest in them self and feel the need for an external pole to lean up against to make a sense of their own life. I'll bet SS (Still no pun) will be back with his foolish arguments Osamas? what an idiot!

zeusbheld
JESUS DIED FOR YOU, ME AND EVERYONE.... BELIEVE IT OR NOT, IT IS TRUE... The truth you speak of is merely subjective, and as you see, open to personal interpretation. What proof do you have? Faith? well the proof apparently is supposed to be that the devil is much smaller than previously thought. he's a point guard! now jesus, on the other hand, is probably a 5, with that wingspan. so God's team will probably win by pounding the ball into the center on offense and forcing the devil's team to settle for low-percentage perimeter shots. looks great on paper, but will they win? who knows? that's why they play the games. yeah i want proof too. JESUS DIED FOR YOU, ME AND EVERYONE.... BELIEVE IT OR NOT, IT IS TRUE... There is a difference between stating/sharing one's opinion - and insisting that others agree with you. So, although I am sure that your beliefs are wrong, it doesn't bother me that you hold these silly beliefs - because it doesn't affect me one way or another. Speaking of which: Why does your religion feel the need to threaten people for not believing? That was just a rhetorical question. I know the answer. It is because otherwise nobody would believe. So you need the fear of a fiery devil with horns and a pitchfork hanging over people. It's understandable that that would work on children. But you are an adult now. Religious people like yourself claim that your belief in a god is based on faith. And why? Because you have no proof. Therefore you try to make faith out to be somehow more valid that actual proof. Nice try, buddy - but where I come from, we call that a scam. You closed your message with the comment: "JESUS DIED FOR YOU, ME AND EVERYONE.... BELIEVE IT OR NOT, IT IS TRUE..." I think what you meant to say was "True or not, believe it - please - because otherwise my whole foundation just crumbles into dust." Like I said, though, I won't threaten you (or anyone else) with diabolical consequences for believing (or not believing) in a god - because reality is what matters. So get out there and enjoy your life - and stop worrying about some devil poking you in the ass with a pitchfork.
alvish
I am from a Christian family and would go to church the odd time. I don't believe in Jesus, God etc but believe in the christian community and the moral values it taught me and will teach my kids when they pop out. I will also teach my kids buddhism (if I marry my buddhist girlfriend) and bring them up as buddhists / christians (who cares if this isn't correct in a God's eyes) the only thing I believe in is the moral values brought by religion. Being from Northern Ireland where there is constant war between Catholics and Protestants, any person I have met that has been involved in sectarian violence / paramilitaries were brought up in non religious families and were brought up "bad" without these moral values brought by the church. What is even worse a lot of the people I know who were involved in paramilitaries etc ended up as born again Christians (Elim), normally turning when they were around 18 - 25. Still when I am with them they still are as biggoted and "evil" as they were before. Was speaking with 1 recently and someone asked him why he changed to Christianity and I said "guilty conscience" jokingly but he got mad saying " I've never had anything to be guilty of" and this was a cont that had done some dodgy stuff in his life. Christianity later in life won't change the past, morals and beliefs of people. I think Christianity (or any religion) is needed to teach people moral values but also believe that those who believe trully in it are either naive or weak willed people who need change in their life. Ooo 1 last thing, being brought up in a Christian family going to church every Sunday - listening to some cont born again christian preaching to convert me is the most annoying thing ever, I have been listening to Ministers preaching Gods word to me for 25 years why would I change cause some ex-devil worshipper with no friends and a dog **** life change my mind - take a walk... ps Cont = *****

The people I am most involved with these days are from the catholic side, I work in Stormont and share a kitchen with Sinn Fein and pass Marty McGuiness at least once a week. I'm sure you won't claim these guys are Saints. Truthfully I do think some are good people like Catriona Ruane is 1 of the most friendly people I have met but working with the DRD Committee and Conor Murphy, I honestly have never got a good guy vibe from him. Recently I have been swaying towards Sinn Fein's side over DUP's because of their support on environmental issues, PPS14 etc and DUP are just conts we are fighting them on every motion. The people I am talking about are the young lads from either side of the community who hate either Catholic or Protestant and are involved in sectarian violence. You see these "steeks" on the streets beating / killing people, stealing cars, etc wearing their Rangers / Celtic tops throwing bricks at the police. These are the inbred catholic / protestant bigots. Maybe I have not seen the Catholic side 1st hand but I know how ignorant and non religious the protestant side is. If the catholics on the opposite side are religious people and doing the same as the "steeky prods" on this side then I would have to question the morals taught in the Catholic Church. None of the people i know who were "born again" were ever in jail.
